Cheapest I found but I am expecting some cold votes because this game is not out for a few months.

But anyhow shopto.net are taking pre orders for the new Fallout New Vegas game. It is £32:05 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of the game. Or £22:95 for the PC version.

Problem with shopto is that they don't have a preorder price guarantee, and though it is rare that they do put the price up, they can... decent price, but I'll wait til nearer release, its not being made by the same team as Fallout3, so its up in the air as to whether it matches it for quality.

When they announced Fallout New Vegas last year. They said the people who made the very first Fallout game will be making it. They also said it will be the same style of gameplay from Fallout 3.

Very meh, not voting hot or cold. Fallout 3 was awful, maybe a new team developing it is a good thing?

I think it was one of the marmite games. Personally, I loved it but others I know just couldn't get into it.

I'm really looking forward to it

I actually think they do have a preorder price guarantee now

This one is made by Obsidian (who did Neverwinter Nights 2 and Knights of the Old Republic 2) not Bethseda.

So true, I sold it on first time but picked it up cheap and somehow got hooked second time around. over 90 hours in and still so much to discover!

Will wait and see how it reviews first.

FO3 was the best game of 2008 IMO. I've been hotly waiting for New Vegas since it was announced - shame you never hear much about it. Obsidian has been very tight lipped.
#10
The jury is out on this one. I've just about finished pack 5 of 5 of the expansions for FO3. 110 hours put in. Not even 100% of the trophies. Good price for this not sure about Obsedian though.

couldnt agree more, absolutely blew me away did Fallout 3!!
#12
I wonder how many hours of my life this one'll claim?
#13
I quit about an hour after escaping from the bunker . I didnt dislike it , I just couldnt get into it . I still own it and one day I swear I will try it again .
#14
want this too but my box has rrod on me so made a decision not to by anything while its on its hols
#15
Took me 108 hours to complete Fallout 3 plus all the DLC. Best game I've played in ages.
#16
Fallout 3 was best game ever made IMO, there is over 120 hopurs of play in there everything about it was quality. Any one saying its rubbish, clearly not your type of game so should not be comenting :whistling:

I will be getting this but when does it come out ?
#17
I'm not voting either way, seems a decent price but theres no way of knowing if it'll even be out this year!

If Shopto have changed their policy then good deal. If not the preorder price is fairly meaningless as they can just change it when they feel like it.

Well, that's good enough for me to not be interested in it.

Awfully boring game.
#20
Is there any information available on the game yet? Last I heard, Obsidian games had yet to release anything about it. The only information being the name, who was developing it and a rough release date of 2010.
#21
I loved Fallout 3. I got so in to it, and am still into it now! The story is so good, from start to end. But you do need to get a few level ups before it starts getting really good.

This is a good price at the moment, but I am going to wait until closer to the time to see if there are any other deals around.

I didn't pre-order CODMW2 and picked it up for £25.99 (from Morrisons) on release day.

Not voting cold though
#22
Anyone reserving this had better get used to a long wait....no pre release hype to date = crap game or at least a year away....id rather put the money in premium bonds lmao
#23
Wow. People saying this game is boring, you guys would hate other RPGs.

I think Fallout really went to town with making an RPG that was accessible to the masses.
As for the deal, would be too early for me to put a pre-order on this due to lack of details.
#24
I played it for around 8 hours, couldnt really get into it but may pick it up again. I know its set after nuclear bombs have gone off, but it just felt very grey and depressing (of course I guess that's the point)... Im not expecting the beautiful world of Oblivion, but some variation would be nice. Do the places you visit change at all later on into the game? Not sure i can take 120 hours of Orwellian grey really.

[OFFTOPIC]
To people who've played FO3 for a bit and not got into it: I did exactly the same on my first play; after leaving the vault I found combat really difficult (killed by mole rats!) and was at a loss of where to go and what to do.
Several months later I went back to the game and manged to level up enough to start getting some useful skills and decent gear - and I was hooked. (And the only other RPG I've ever liked was Mass Effect).
There is a HUGE amount to do / see / kill in the game, a reasonably interesting story (OK, no great new sci-fi IP like ME, buit then they're stuck with the original FO storyline), and with the DLC an incredible amount of useful / interesting gear and guns. I would recommend either getting a guide book or checking the online wiki though.
I've played three characters through to level 30 and there's still a couple of things I haven't found / finished yet - that's 500+ hours of gameplay, which makes this the best value game I've ever bought on any system.
[/OFFTOPIC]
As to New Vegas - well, they've got a LOT to live up to is all I can say :) If it was Bethesda fans of FO3 wuld be all over it, but as it's not I'll wait for the reviews I think...

Fallout 3 was awful? Are you stoned?
#27
According to the Shopto preorder, this would be for late August delivery. I've seen nothing to back that up. It's not implausible, but really, unconfirmed store pre-orders are nothing to guide your release expectations by. 2010 is the only thing that they've said, and I'm prepared for a long wait (like October).

Loved Fallout 3, but I know eventually there will be a GOTY editon with DLC included, so Im gonna hold off for that.
#29
Fallout 3 is one of my favourite games of all time. You have to give it an hour or two - it's such a big game, and does so much, that you come to it not even realising just what a complete world you've entered. But once you do, it's utterly addictive, immersive and rewarding. I love it!

So high hopes for New Vegas, but I've not seen much on it to date.

Do what I did - buy the original game, complete it, sell it, buy it again, buy one lot of DLC, sell it, buy the GOTY edition, complete all DLC, sell it

Another here in agreement. One of the all-time top games.

Anyone saying Fallout 3 is 'awful' just has no taste in great games :p

i sold fallout 3 after getting the best armour in the game on my 2nd day of play, it seemed alrite but that just put me off (lame reason??), was nice shooting the fat boy though
#33
You've just become my new best friend. I didn't even know this game was planned, Fallout3 was the first I played in the saga and think it was a masterpiece. Some people may not enjoy it but could not rate this anything but superb.
Many thanks heat added

If you are guys are curious of what the new fallout is like, you can watch the trailer on this link.
