Good deal. Voted hot.

There is still some stock of eneloop AAs/ AAAs (£3.99 per pack of 4), chargers (£6.99 with 4 AAs) and eneloop power packs (£9.99 for 4 AAs, 2 AAAs, 2 C adaptors and and 2 D adaptors and a charger) on clearance in Argos stores.

Just search for eneloop on argos site and 4 items come up, all cheap. I just checked and still some stock in a few of my locals of one or two of the items (Bury, manchester hulme), so might be worth a look for other areas.

Its a good price - but the charger is not great. It works with two circuits - so if a bad battery is charged with a good one - the good one could get fried as the charger averages the charge over both of them (or if you are lucky - they wont be charged at all).

This then means you have two bad batteries to damage the next ones you pair them with to charge (and so on).

Look for one that says it can charge 1, 2, 3, or 4 (etc) batteries at once - and not just 2 or 4.

To preserve the life of your rechargeable batteries you are best using a charger with individual charging circuits (which also has the advantage you can shove in AAs, and AAAs or varying capacity batteries at the same time to safely charge.

HOT all the same - as it will save a fortune over normal batteries.

i use these for my xbox 360 wireless controllers and my wii controllers...

http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&q=Sony+1700+mAh+AA+Rechargeable+Nimh+Batteries&cid=4378590793210277741&sa=title#ps-sellers

bought mine from sainsburys about 2years ago for less then a £10 with 4 1700mah batteries that till this day can last nearly a week with heavy use before needing charge, and recently bought another set of 2700mah batteries that work on the same charger for my digital Fuji cam!

after all, Sony is top dog when it comes to electrics!

Agreed. I had one of these chargers and it was rubbish. Ansmann make the best chargers. They're not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Well said, rep added. 7day do a charger which appears to fit the above: 600LCD (which I had already ordered)!

PS Sorry for the thread drag up.
