uk seasons - the 6 season sets that have been released in UK.

its a good way to get the sets, but if youre a fan, you probably already have them all - plus there is at least a few more seasons left, as the creator seth macfarlane said he wants to do 10 seasons, then do feature length movie versions. so this wont be complete of course.

i got the first collectors set of seasons 1-3 and Uncovered 2 disc set (never released on it own, and never will be, which is why i never sold this) plus the seasons 4-6 sets and the Stewie Griffin and Freakin Sweet collections, and the Blue Harvest SE on order too. FG is the best, and if you havent bought these - this is a great way to start.

Its always the way....you buy each series as they come out then they release nice snazzy box sets GRRRRRR :-@
#12
is each season in this in its own proper cardboard pack thing like when you buy them from individually?
#13

It would appear they come in a CD wallet type thing with the head of Stewie printed across it and not DVD cases.

So how does the R1 compare? Does it have the cards etc? And Stewie the Untold Story, and also is the R1 seasons 1-6? If so that would mean you get an extra season, or is it 1-5 on R1?
Confuddled
#17
I am so tempted by this, have got blue harvest on order from azmazon at the end of the month too!

Thanks OP heat added

The US volumes 1-5 are the same as the UK seasons 1-6. Basically,
US vol.1 = UK season 1+2,
US vol.2 = UK season 3, and so on.

According to the review on play.com, R2 version from play doesn't have Stewie the Untold Story unfortunately. :x

not sure about the extras between R1 and R2 though.

Now, is it me, but if I look at wikipedia, and type in Family Guy Episodes, it comes up with all the series and list of episodes like so:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_guy_episodes
But probably my favourite episode of "Patriot Games", which is part of Season/Series 4, is not in the Season/Series 4 Box Set, instead it's in the following Box Set.
But I have also noticed that not all the episodes are on the DVD's in the Box Sets!
Does anyone know as to why either of the above happen?
Many thanks in advance.

Stewie Griffin: Untold Story was split in three parts and altered for television to become the episodes entitled Stewie B. Goode, Bango Was His Name Oh!, and Stu & Stewie's Excellent Adventure as part of the Season 4: 2005-2006.

Hopefully this box set would include those three episodes. I have seen the film and those three episodes on BBC3 and the main difference I could remember is the part where the family is on the red carpet at the start of Stewie Griffin: Untold Story and maybe some of the swearing was bleeped out for the televsion versions and the part where the older Stewie changes baby Stewie's nappy. The bulk of the film is still defrinitely contained in those three episodes.

The fact that Stewie Griffin: Untold Story isn't included in this box set wouldn't stop me getting it particularly as it should include those three episodes of season 4.

It is a great show and this is a great deal.

R1 says something about having ping pong balls and paddles as well as the chips, cards etc, and is only £41 delivered from amazon.com. Is it worth getting over the R2 anyone?

ok after some readings here what i come up with.
On the TV, they are currently showing season 6 and there have been 5 seasons so far.
S1, S2, S3, S4A, S4B, S5A, S5B.
A denotes the first half of the season and B the latter half of the season.

In the US, vol1. = S1 + S2; vol.2 = S3; vol.3 = S4A; vol.4 = S4B; vol.5 = S5A.
From here, season 1 = S1; season 2 = S2; season 3 = S3; season 4 = S4A; season 5 = S4B; season 6 = S5A.

"Patriot Games" is in the latter half of season 4, so it would be in R1 vol.4 or R2 season 5. Hope that clears it up

Why have done they done that? probably trying to trick us into buying the wrong dvds
#24
Great price wish I had money lying around for it!
#25
Thanks mmk1125 for clearing that up for me!
Better go and start buying and watching them all! :o)
DING FRIES ARE DONE! :)
#26
I hope the price remains at £56 for a while. Havent got much spending money at the moment and my Birthday is next month so it would be an ideal purchase with my Birthday money :)

anyone know how big the actual product is? i bought the futurama dvd boxset (now defunct) about 3 years ago and its bloody enormous. considering i wanted to send this in the post as a gift i need 2 know how much postage will cost
#28
If I am not mistaken:
http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1&sku=699114
That's the same thing but it has a few more photos, and it may help to have a few things like the packet of playing cards in front so you can get some kinda of idea how big the box is etc!
Hope this helps!

I just received mine (From littlewoods) and as a rough guess, it would cost about £10 to send by special delivery, or £5.99 by a 3rd party parcel company.
#30
I got this from Littlewoods for £40 with vouchers :)

For anyone not sure about the Littlewoods one being the party pack...it is!
