For anyone with a Zavvi still open nearby - I was in my local store (Falkirk) at the weekend and they had Family Guy Season 1-7 Boxsets marked up as £80. The 25% discount on DVD's means that this is effectively £60 for all 7 seasons. Next cheapest I could find is £86.89 @ Sendit.

Features series one to seven of the animated TV comedy. The programme is based around the Griffin family, comprised of bumbling, well-intentioned father Peter; his sweet but oblivious wife Lois; and their teenagers, dim-witted Chris and awkward Meg. The most recognisable characters, however, remain the family's masterminds: evil genius baby Stewie, determined to achieve complete world domination at the age of one, and Brian, an erudite martini-swilling dog, the family's lone voice of reason.

Spending any money at all is bad enough but can you imagine how the poor saps that paid £120 feel? Pretty crummy, that's how.

I couldn't imagine paying for a DVD set when the show's on several times a week on BBC3 and FX. Family Guy rocks but I'll catch it on the tube for free. Not hot but there's no way I'll vote it cold.

Seems like ur slow and the kind of idiot to pay £60 for dvd's when a single disc doesnt even cost 10p to manufacture, the downloadable versions available on the net are usually recorded off some tv channel, with their logo on them, so see u in the idiots court. lol lmao.

I agree they are a rip-off. But, the price we pay for DVDs is not for the actual physical disc, mate. It's for the material on the disc. I assumed this was obvious. Quoting the price of manufacture is irrelevant. Quoting the price of storyboarding, pre-production and production would be a better place to start. You'll be using a fair few naughts :) Like I say, though. I wouldn't buy it.
