Titles Comprise:
Blue Harvest: The laughs come full "Force" when the Griffin clan puts a freakin' sweet spin on the greatest sci-fi saga ever told! With Peter playing the swashbuckling Han Solo, Lois as the sexy Princess Leia, Chris as an adolescent Luke Skywalker, Brian as a well-spoken Chewbacca and Stewie finally embracing his dark side as Darth Vader, who knows what will happen? Filled with outrageous gags, spaced-out droids and more intergalactic satire than you can shake a lightsaber at, this epic spoof of Star wars: A New Hope is a must-own for every fan of Family Guy!

Something, Something, Something Dark Side: Spoofing cultural icons and classic films is Family Guy's bread and butter, and Something, Something, Something, Dark Side sees them take on the daddy of sci-fi films: 'The Empire Strikes Back'. This limited edition set includes a T-shirt and collector cards with the hour-long episode.

It's A Trap: Clear some space for the third chapter of the funniest trilogy in the galaxy! Once again, the Family Guy alliance travels far, far beyond the boundaries of good taste to bring you an outrageous intergalactic journey. Join them for one last outer space adventure, as Han Solo (Peter), Chewbacca (Brian), and Princess Leia (Lois) battle against the Evil Empire. Meanwhile, Darth Vader (Stewie) and the Emperor (Carter) try to recruit Luke Skywalker (Chris) to the dark side of the Force with taco nights and T-shirts. Filled with outlandish humour and exploding spaceships, Family Guy unites for a final sci-fi spoof! We aren't doing any more, folks.

I'm sure this is a good price for the Blu-Ray set, but releasing it on that format seems pretty pointless.

This is nothing about image quality, and if anything stands up to be 'only' standard definition, it's cartoons like this.

Avatar, yes. Family Guy, not so much.

Got to agree, Family Guy is hardly Pixar and it's a lot of dough for 3 episodes.
#3
Anyone seen the 3rd one yet? Think the first one was funny for half an hour, the second for 5 minutes and judging by that pattern the third is likely to be terrible
#4
As above.

I loved Family Guy to start with but I think it has gone a bit downhill and I didn't find the Star Wars ones funny at all.

Good price for those who want it though :)

Having said that, to us Star Wars fans, it's good that Solo shoots first.

Also, when Lois Leia says to Chris "Aren't you a little fat for a stormtrooper?", his reply, "Rescue yourself then you stuck up b1tch" is one of my all time favourite FG lines.

I thought all 3 were genius personally, love them And tho this is on blu ray, it is triple play for blu ray dvd and digital copy so i think its a good deal and i think its awesome so heat from me. Plus i dont buy DVDs anymore just blu ray so may aswell just get it lol
#7
Why on earth didn't they bring this out before Christmas!

Would have made a good one.
#8
The 3rd one is pretty much more of the same, some good scenes but nothing exceptional.

The Robot Chicken Star Wars Trilogy is better IMO

I think the Family Guy episodes on TV are still brilliant, but I have to agree that the Star Wars ones haven't been brilliant. Blue Harvest was OK, but the second one wasn't great. Haven't seen It's A Trap! so I can't really speak for it, but I'm not expecting a masterpiece.

Back to the TV episodes ;)

good catch, i have the first on collectors dvd and the second on bluray and the third on collectors bluray (got it yesterday even though its not out till the 27th) but this is the only way to get the first on bluray i think.

and the picture difference in HD is much greater, very crisp. people who think there is no point dont have HD or havent seen an episode in the format, so shouldnt comment.

also was i the only one to get a £5 e-voucher from sainsburys for the cancellation of orders they had to do last week? with that voucher would be only £21.99 so a super deal.

Who the **** are you to say I can't comment if I haven't seen an HD copy? My opinion as as valid as yours and for me, Family Guy is about laughs, not image quality.

Also, please read the retailer's reviews before buying anything from them.

.

Yes, because that crisp edge on a cartoon makes all the difference to the laughter....oh dear.

Seen the third one and its brilliant. Loved all three but im a big Star Wars fan and absolutely love Family Guy. Plenty of laugh out loud moments for me.
#20

Avoid. Blue Harvest is awesome. Darkside was meh. It's a Trap is really terrible (i ca't remember laughing at anything). They pretty much admit that in the opening scrolling text, that they're doing it for the money.

Besides, the price will plummet on this.

But I for one want to make use of my HD television, and watching this in HD makes me laugh harder. Hot!!

£27 for 3 cartoon episodes is a rip off, regardless if its on blu ray or the funniest thing ever.

Will be £15 in a month or two.
#25
ive seen cartoons in HD. they dont have depth of colour or textures that take any real advantage of HD. it looks fine in DVD quality.

Anyhoo, the price has gone up to £33.99 if anyone is interested.
