Looks good - has anyone got one and can comment on the quality of the tent/accessories - thinking of picking one up..............

they sell this at this price every year - i have never seen them for sale at full price

i never bought one myself but have seen them on camp sites

you get what you pay for but for £100 its a bargain and you will get a few seasons out of it

good starter pack to see if you can hack outdoor living

They have done this exact same offer every year for about 3 or 4 years now. Bought one a couple of years ago, fine as a garden or weekend tent but wouldn't want to spend any longer in one.

agreed good for a weekend

any good for Glastonbury?

Thanks for the feedback on the tent folks. I might give it a go - see if I can persuade the wife and kids to go away for the weekend - she has never camped in her life, so I hope the tent is suitably impressive/persuasive ;-)

well, we were going to get one last year.
they ended up being a dud...

all the tent poles were bending and breaking and they were basically a waste of time.

the halfords assistant in aberdeen didnt rate them at all......

maybe they have learned from 2007 season which was an absolute waste of time.

i got one lasy year-

the air beds are ok- hard to blow up though, get an electric pump
the lamps are battery hungry-didnt use them
the sleeping bags are quite warm
the tent is ok - used it for whole family 2 adults and 2 kids

we spent 3 nights in cornwall in it last summer- decided to buy it and drive down early to beat the saturday traffic hell, and stayed 3 nights camping before going into our rented cottage for a fortnight

it was a good idea- drove down in a few hours rather than the 8hrs it normally takes on holiday changeover day - we beat all the traffic and had a few days extra holiday

from memory - it must have been ok, as we wanted to camp after we left the cottage - to extend our holiday further and beat the traffic on the journey home (but every campsite was booked up so we couldnt)

the tent has groundsheets attached to both sleeping areas but its not attached to middle living room area (separate sheet), so if it had rained our stuff probably would have got soaked (luckily it stayed dry for our stay!)

I would happily use it again and buy again, but only for a few nights stay

there isnt a lot of room inside - but maybe worth a go if you only want a few nights at a time, or just want to try it to see if you like camping

ps- they weigh a tonne too!

Friends of ours bought one last year.. They had problems with the airbeds going down, sleeping apartments only just fit beds in.. They found it easy to put up though..

just wanted to say that dispite my previous post raving about these tents- we have used ours again on a nother holiday

DONT BUY ONE!

the zips are cheap and jam, also in a strong wind 2 poles snapped, making the tent collapse and leaving us homeless in the middle of nowhere at 1am in the morning, in pouring rain, howling wind and 2 young children -they are cheap and nasty

spend a bit extra and get a proper tent
