Hi smdsmd, welcome to HUKD and thank you for the post. If you use promotion code 729351 (thanks to srw985) you can knock the price down to £125.99 including P&P. :)

you can do it in these midlands places, providing your less than 18st and 6'4'' and you do it in the next 10 months and theres a £25 collision waiver fee

    Leicestershire (Midlands) - Prestwold Hall
    Lincolnshire (Midlands) - Blyton Park
    Warwickshire (Midlands) - Long Marston

At the Prestwold and Long Marston locations you will drive each car for approximately 2.25 miles, and you will be able to drive the following supercars: Aston Martin V8 Vantage/DB9, Audi R8, Ferrari 360, Lamborghini Gallardo and Porsche.

At the Blyton Park location you will drive each car for approximately 3 miles, and you will be able to drive your choice of 5 of the following supercars: Audi R8, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Ariel Atom, Ferrari 360, Porsche 997 Turbo, Lamborghini Gallardo or Nissan GTR.

The fun doesn’t end there though - your experience will also include an exhilarating instructor-driven high-speed passenger lap! Your heart will race as your instructor tears around the track in a powerful performance car.

Quite like the idea of this as a gift for my son but from my point of view the event locations are a real drawback, even the nearest one would probably be a six or seven hour drive round trip, pity.

damn wish it was at rockingham

Has anyone done this before , can you put your foot down or are you stuck behind a pace car

I did this last month in Leicester. It's not a bad experience. You sit with an instructor for two Laps in each car, given guidance for the duration. The R8 was a let down as it was Manual gear box, others had full auto or paddles.. Their ferraris all have huge cracks in the windscreens... The instructors are lovely and helpful.... My favourite was the DB9 ! Comfort and power..

My only criticism is the organisation, they cater for turn up on the day drivers and 100+ other drivers on experiences so you can hang around a bit between drives.

We paid £65 extra to have the incar videos and images on a cd with 1 free developed image... The videos are far from an F1 driver cam, but not bad all the same.

Snoopy, you can put your foot down, but if you're behind someone crawling, it can restrict you. The experience is very good

Correction to the last comment, I meant to say 'what felt like 100+ drivers' :)

What's your excess if you crash it? Id love to do this and Im a massively confident driver...but incredibly careless...Id definitely break it.

Along the straight at Preswold hall I hit 137 mph in the GTR. I think they assess everyone differently & let you drive it on how comfortable you make them feel.

SO want to do this, but I'm 17 and I bet the instructor would feel nervous :P

Just pay the £25 waiver, and drive the cars like they're not yours .... Oh hang on ;)

Any of the vauxhall vxr action days ever going to be back on here? They were awesome!

Even the waiver doesn't cover you for everything. If you do anything not instructed to and it leads to a crash you're buggered.

I'm hoping they do them when the new Astra VXR is launched

I've done the Prestwold hall one, just a note for the 'drive it like you stole it' guys, unless you pay for the waiver I believe you have to pay the 1st £2000 (may be more now) for any dings. Superb day though, I was advised by one of the staff to avoid the Ferrari days as they tend to be overcrowded.

    Not a bad deal.
