If anyone has missed the offers way back on the Famous Grouse 1Litre bottles at Tesco and Morrisons then I think this may be the best it gets for Grouse before Christmas. The litre bottles aren't heavily discounted all that often - usually Bell's. This works out cheapest according to current mySupermarket prices, and is cheaper than buying a Litre bottle at the moment. (If you take price per 10cl).

*********************************

Matured in seasoned oak casks and bottled in Scotland.

The Famous Grouse is named after the Red Grouse, Scotland's national game bird. The blend is crafted from the finest malt whiskies, such as The Macallan and Highland Park, married with exceptional grain whiskies, for the smoothest possible taste.

The Famous Grouse is proud to be Scotland's favourite whisky.

Please enjoy our whisky responsibly.

You're right.
Whisky buffs would point out it's a blend (i.e. not a single malt whisky, not 'the real McCoy' so to speak), but it's a popular one and not bad, I think. Everyone has different tastes. Thanks for posting.

I didn't say it wasn't popular ;) Just personally dislike it, though as you say I generally stick to single malts. If you're not accustomed to the good stuff or are just going to drown it in a mixer then it's probably ok for you.
