It's my DH's favourite blend so I bought a few - well 8 actually!

They are obviously getting rid of it as Father's day has passed.

Happy headache!

What's a DH?

DH could mean daughters husband or on second thoughts my dear husband cos otherwise it would of been SIL meaning son in law.

Missus just informed me it's "Darling husband"....don't ever remember being called such a thing so she must have been MSN'ing about someone else's other half!!?!?

im not into all this DH stuff but i am reliably informed it means dear husband, you may also see DD or DS, dear daughter or dear son.

you may also see BIRD, THE WOMAN and MISSUS.

one set of words is used by females on here, the other is used by blokes on here, i will not give any clues though.

I don't know what this is but they don't rebadge Grouse so it sure isn't that, and you can always buy cheap whisky of one sort or another!

They do indeed, in fact if you go to the grouse website and visit their shop you can buy a bottle with a personalised label that can be the famous anything you like. Fab present for birthdays, xmas or pretty much any other occasion. Costs £19.99 if i remember correctly and no i dont work for grouse!

I was only trying to be helpfull!

DH can be either 'Dear' or 'Dreadfull' depending on how you feel about him at the time!

And yes, it IS proper grouse!

Sorry I bothered!

Hot.

I guess in pure deal terms 8 quid for something that should be 12 isn't bad, on that basis ill vote it hot. However, it still tastes less than stellar. Whisky is really something that isnt worth drinking unless its a decent malt.

Someone I know comes out with stuff like this.

He was waxing lyrical about his favourite malt in the pub one night, so I bought him a wee dram of cheap house whisky and told him it was his favourite malt. As he sipped it down, he repeated how much he enjoyed it and how it tasted better than any other whisky. I didn't have to say anything; he proved my point. :whistling:

Whisky is very much a matter of personal taste. I've tried many different whiskies, but I still prefer some blends more than some malts.

No offence but your mate either doesnt know his whisky, or is more concerned with not looking like someone who doesnt know his whisky (ie he didnt like it, but didnt wish to say so). Not all malts are good either - glenfiddich std malt is a bit harsh to be honest. Anyway deal is still a deal. ;)
