Are those halogen ones better?

Are those halogen ones better?
Depends on use / preference. Halogen typically emit significant light - your choice if this suits your requirement or not. Halogen tend to heat objects via radiation rather than heating the ambient air - your choice if this suits your requirement or not. Halogen heaters tend not to make a whirring noise - your choice if this suits your requirement or not. Both are technically equally as efficient, as even the power spent turning the motor / noise on the fan heater will be released as heat. A fan heater may be more flexible and potentially less-wasteful if it has a thermostat, not sure if halogen heaters normally have thermostats.

Will probably break after half an hour if it's up to CPCs normal standards.

personally I've had loads of stuff from them, never had a problem. bit of a sweeping statement to say it will break within half an hour. if it did why not send it back like a normal consumer would.

This model is prone to failure as the bottom switch gets damaged within few months of usage. Last year I had to replace them 3-4 times.
