thearbiter65thearbiter65

My first deal so sorry if I mess it up!

This hotel in Birmingham city center is amazing. I have stayed with them before and now you can do it for as little as £5.95!

Each room is created to emulate the feel of a cabin aboard a luxury yacht, each fully air-conditioned Cityroom utilises high-quality cherry wood, leather finishes and features the very latest technology, including a 42" plasma screen, multi-channel entertainment, wireless Internet access and high-tech bathroom with power shower.

I live on the edge of Birmingham but have not stayed at this hotel.

But I have to say it is in a great location. Very close to the Symphony Hall, Convention Centre, city centre shops, broad st (with all its clubs), brindley place, and the upmarket Mailbox shopping arcade.

For those that have a rather negative view of Birmingham, the city centre has had major redevlopment in the last few years and the areas around the canals in the centre are now packed with bars and restaurants, like this:

Probably a good idea to check about parking though.

They may not have much, and if they do they may charge for it which adds to the overall cost.

I love Birmingham, I live in Nottingham (so it's not a million miles away) and I always go to Birmingham to do my shopping (lots of great shops, if you love designer brands like me)

I have stayed in this hotel last year in November and it was a nice little hotel, the rooms are very small, and the only bad point is that the rooms don't have windows... the 42" plasma Tv's do actually flick through different views of outside the hotel on the cameras situated all around the outside of the hotel though to give the effect of a window... still not the same!

When you go back to your room drunk and full from your Birmingham Balti from down on Stratford Road, you don't really care!!!

I stayed in the Copthorne for a few days last year. That was really nice, views down on the eye and Paradise Circus.
This sounds a little like a Travelodge, still a good price if you are lucky enough to get a room at the price though. Ideal for a cheap shopping vacation.

You get what you pay for really, the rooms are very, very small but clean and well furnished though the sight of a 42" LCD screen at the foot of the bed takes some getting used to...
