About three years ago, I bought Far Cry from GAME from their three games for a tenner range. It was the first PC game I'd played serously in 20 years. This was the best £3.33 I ever spent! The game is fantastic with a really good story line. As it's a few years old, it runs easily even on a low spec PC or laptop. My old lappie had a Sempron processor an ATI 1270 integrated graphics and it played in 1280 x 800 no probs.

Buy it and enjoy!

Am I right in thinking these so-called "ad supported" downloadable games are truly free to download and use? I'm not going to have BT on my back threatening to cut my broadband off am I??

If this is kosher, I'll give this a try.

Gamershell is a very respected source.

For less than the price of a pint of Stella you have a wonderful game. Buy it, enjoy it and voted hot.
What a miserable response from "dyson"

Tried the 'ad supported' version of Far Cry a few years ago. Took ages to download and then it wouldn't run. Turns out it was restricted for use in North America and checks where you are before it starts. I'm sure there's a workaround now but surely that makes it no better than a pirate copy?

Far Cry is a brilliant PC game.
Quite scary at times too - the bit with the tree walkways springs to mind.

Having played many first person shooters such as Half Life 2 and Call of Duty, I have to say the original Far Cry is right up there. Great graphics, open environments and brilliant physics. Fond memories of playing this game- if I didn't already own it I would certainly take advantage of this deal. Heat added.

This is a great game, shame the sequel and all of the console renditions of the first one were so crap.

I haven't got around playing FC2 yet, but Crysis was excellent.

Astounding game when it first came out, remember being in awe of the huge maps!

I know exactly which bit you mean, with all those weird mutant creatures skulking around. Classic game well worth the money!

Voted hot. Was only £2.49 last weekend on Steam, but now back to £4.99

Voted Hot. Great game, still very playable and Multiplayer was always a laugh. Sneaking through the forests was a truely magnificent feeling back then. Sniping has never been so good.

going to try the free ad supported version first before voting either way XD

Ye I got it on that weekend and its visually impressive game if a little dated compared to newer game, heat added.

If I were you, I really wouldn't bother.
