Hi all, was looking to buy my son a garage for his cars for christmas and found the ones at ELC too expensive. Got an email fron Toys R Us with this deal, a nice looking garage which comes with ten cars, half price reduced from £29.99. I know you have to pay £4.98 for delivery but if your picking up a few bits seems like a good deal. Not sure if instore too.

Deal. As you say, there's a similar one in ELC for about 50 quid so this is a bargain.

Although you can't go wrong for £15, it is quite flimsy. We bought it for our son two years ago and practically every lane has fallen off - unless your child is 7/8 plus I wouldn't recommend.

I actually had a look at the one in early learning centre though and thought that you are actually paying £50 for a piece of plastic, not worth all that money.

We got our little un one like this for xmas last yr.... if its the same (and it looks it) its UTTER garbage not worth £5 never mind £15.

Nothing fits together correctly and it just comes apart whilst hes playing with it, even he's got fed up with it and now it just sits in the corner (in bits!!). I've also looked at the ELC one and its MUCH better quality despite its high price tag its at least usable, just a heads up but thanks to the OP anyway

Ours (two kids under 5) lasted about six months. But well played with, and very much enjoyed by the kiddies.

Yep, these are always on offer.

I bought one for £14.99 last year too & the bloomin thing kept falling apart & bits were popping out all over the place.

I ended up returning mine!

Totally agree this is absolute garbage and is not even worth a fiver.

My son got this a couple of years ago for xmas and it went straight in the bin after a couple of weeks. ! :x

this SET is Very FLIMSY as stated by others it does not stay together falls off as a parent you will get frustrated!!

price still does not do justice to the weakness of this product, you will end up puting it away.

The various Fast Lane kits can be joined together as well - they make a cheap and cheerful Christmas or Birthday present, and if you have (as I have) two grandsons, one each, and they put them together and play together.

And certainly, ours have NOT proved flimsy. And that's with a 6 and a 3 year old playing with them. They've had them for about six months now; and they are still intact.

Possibly something to do with the skill of the builder (smug grin); but probably not!

Heat 'n' rep.

we also bought this last year , and took it back its a waste of money. got the ELC one for £40 with 20% of voucher, its very strong and durable but the lift is a pain to move up and down

I agree with previous posters - it's flimsy , things don't click together properly , and it's generally poor quality

Really disappointed with it and certainly wouldn't recommend it

Can I just say that my son was brought this garage last year & it is really cheap & nasty. It is really time consuming & laborius to build, but then falls apart if you so much as breathe on it, let alone play with a car on it. In the end I even tried supergluing the entire thing togther, but it still fell apart...

Ok, its a good price...but but cheap, buy twice.....

I got a smaller version of this from Toys r us and it was in the bin the same night. Bits broke as building and even worse when my 2 year old was playing with it.

For my sons christmas I bought the ELC one from Boots 3 for 2 and sold the other 2 to friends for £30 each, I also got £30 in points (1500 for £75 spend and a code for 1000 and normal 500). So I got mine for £10 and my friends got a bargain at £30. Ask at local toddler groups, there will be other parents that are looking for the elc garage that you could club in and get, or there is always fleebay.

Hope this helps someone!
