XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) Heatspreaders allow increased ventilation and heat dissipation due to an innovative honeycomb design providing more direct access to the actual memory ICs.

The Platinum Revision 2 is built with leading edge technology designed and qualified with special selection of premium components to maximize performance in even the most demanding computing environments.

With its ultra-fast performance, high quality and reliability, the Platinum Revision 2 edition is a perfect memory upgrade for the latest CPU arrivals.

£2.58 p&p with super saver.
For the average person, this something cheaper would be just as usefull : http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=793624
Not sure on its warranty though, and the OCZ is pretty good ram, with better overclocking potential.

i'm think of updating the ram on my dell pc... will this work

Please add postage to price in the title.

For people with Dells etc this RAM will very likely run at CL5 in which case you might as well buy one of the Scan deals as they’re cheaper.

Because there may be a difference in voltages, I think for the best/guaranteed compatibility, it may be wise to visit Crucial & use their Crucial Memory Advisor™ tool.

Have you actually tried Corsair/OCZ RAM in a Dell?

No; are there issues with Dells not being compatible with standard RAM?
The voltage will be set from the SPD values so I can’t see that being an issue although it will of course restrict the timings to CL5 usually for compatibility purposes. Better that than buying RAM that has an SPD setting of CL4 which is asking for problems and rarely done these days.

I have access to OCZ/Corsair etc and a Vostro 400 so I’ll give it a go if I can find the inclination.
