Good to see Dads getting recognised. Credit to them.

A very good offer. I'd recommend the full rack of ribs or lamb shank (from experience)

and don't forget to tip your waiter!!

Apparently, tipping at BJs only reduces the cost to the employer of paying the minimum wage - so instead, DON'T tip - but say that you're not because of the Fair Tips campaign: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/investigates/2008/05/15/fair-tips-campaign-restaurant-chains-and-union-join-us-in-fight-for-fair-deal-89520-20418341/

That's not what it says in the website. There's no mention about having to have dinner there first.

not a fan of Frankie & Bennys. Went to one last year and was first told that we had to wait 20mins for a table so we thought fair enough. came back 20mins later and we got a table. We ordered food and 40mins passed, we asked what was happing only to be told the food was on its way. eventually someone came out and said that they didnt have half of what we had to order and we had to order again. The food eventually arrived 30mins later. By then we were starving.

The food. er was kinda gross tbh. there was like 8 of us and i think only one person actually enjoyed the food. most of it was over cooked and or burnt.

Overall dining experiance: 2/10

I'd say go somewhere else. but thats just my opinion :D

Don't even bother going if that's the attitude you get boycott it bloody cheek.

Just been to F&B's tonight and noticed this promotion on the table.

I read the T&C's and there is no mention of picking up a voucher. The only conditions seemed to be that you had to be in a party of three and one adult had to pay for at least one main course.

I would advise to get there early. Around 5ish, as it's usually quiet, then come 6.30pm onwards expect a wait in the bar.

It is unusual that F&B's took your booking as they don't usually allow you to book ahead unless you are in a party of eight or more.

Its absolutely disgusting tbh. Whenever we eat out as we'll buy a £5 boots gift voucher to take with us and use that as a tip. Working in catering i know all too well how under paid the majority of the workforce are.

Another way management will use tips is to boost their income to meet their GP target for the year by storing the tips and making up the rest of the target needed. And what do the workforce get out of the remaining money? New uniforms :x

Why, they get at least minimum wage, and can move jobs if they don't like it?

thanks

I've never had a bad meal there yet

food is ok for a chain restaurant, better than the dreadful harvester, chef and brewer...but they are so slow at Reading....so dont eat there often

I might have taken your complaint seriously; but seriously if you cannot grasp the basics of grammar and punctuation, you should not be eating out in the first place.
And I'll use a really big font just to make my uneducated point appear more valid

Having worked at Frankie & Benny's I can assure you that your waiter will receive every penny of your cash tips. Credit card gratuities are another matter as Tax, National Insurance and handling charges are deducted from the final amount received.

sorry about the size, slip of the finger. i dont need smart ass comments from you about me not being educated. I was just trying to let people know what i thought of the place having eaten there in the past but if i knew i was going to get flamed and harassed for trying to get my point across i wouldnt of made it in the first place.

If we want the hotukdeals site to grow more, and more people to make posts, we need to stop people leaving stupid replies flaming other people and calling them uneducated; which is likely to put people off.

Let me guess your going to go through and correct all my english now?

Why on earth do people come on here and correct people's spelling and grammar? If they want to read educated reviews why don't they shove off and stick to reading the reviews in The Times! What a plonker!!

stay clear overpriced rubbish , rubbish service rubbish everything really, oh but a nice sit down for a couple of hours before you get any food, not that your food will arrive at the same time for everyone. cold cold cold and thats probably the food as well

the f&b outside the trafford centre is very good.never any delay in getting a seat, receiving drinks or food.Food is always hot and very nice and although dearer than most chains the portions are also bigger so never feel hungry 5 mins later like some other places.
same cant be said about salford quays unfortunately

I had a similar experience to yours at F&B's in Glasgow last year. I had my kids with me and we were celebrating one of their birthdays so I was angry about the whole thing. I complained politely but strongly to the manager. At the end of the meal, the manager told us we had nothing to pay (everything free) and he was apologetic about our experience. Don't be afraid to complain about something you're not happy with. :-D

i'll never eat in the ashford F+Bs again
waited half an hour for an ice cream sundae which the waitress spilled over my table, she scooped the ice cream back into the glass, took it back then brought back the same one with a bit more cream on top.
when i complained about the ice cream being runny and more like a milkshake, the manager told me it was because the kitchen was too hot!!

their customer service is disgraceful!
