Really? Was it a firewall. Seems well cheap.

How does this compare to this Mikita deal?

I know this one has a bigger battery but how does Stanley compare to a Makita as a brand etc?

Get the Fatmax, you won't be disappointed. Stanley and Dewalt are part of the same company.

My fatmax has had no issues over the 2 years of daily use, taken a few big hits and falls over this time and it's still working fine, the drill casing is very solid.

The batteries do tend to suffer a bit a loss in torque now when they have depleted to around 50% but still perform fairly.

Struggles a bit with hard bricks but in jobs like that may as well just use a corded
