A fantastic lineup of pianists here, it is unclear what they are playing but who cares at this price?

Yes, thank you, but no information about the specific works by these composers that are being performed.
#3
By the look of it most are ancient remastered wax recordings
#4
Not so: none are from the wax era. Some are mono and will have been recorded in the 1940's or perhaps at the earliest in the 1930's. Most will be post world war 2 and some are very modern: Schiff, Garilov, Argerich, Barenboim, Thibaudet, Kissin. I own recordings made by Gulda, Kempff, Gilels, Arau, Rubenstein, Katchen, that are mostly in very reasonable if not even good sound and I expect the same to be true of these recordings.

I have ordered this set but so far, have not received it so I can't comment further.

did wonder if I could put that in as an edit to the OP ;)

Yes, that information is available and thank you for posting it. It does identify some specific works: Bach's BWV numbers, for example, but many of the works are unidentifiable. For example: prelude by Bach. Which prelude? Bach must have written many hundreds of preludes, fugues, etc. Beethoven: Adagio cantible. Which one? Beethoven wrote many. Schubert Adagio - ditto. Brahms Allegro. Again, which one.

I could go on. Many of these works are not identifiable from the information given, although some are.

Doh! I was making a point - I'm aware of all these pianists and their background
