With "Halo Wars" [Xbox 360] & "Killzone 2" [PS3] both released two weeks after this title I FEAR 2 that this item will drop in price rapidly in March.

A good price for a pre-order, but I think I'll wait to see what happens in the following month.

I'm annoyed I missed the original "F.E.A.R [First Encounter Assault Recon]" [PS3] title in-store in HMV just before Christmas, as the [PS3] Playable Demo for "F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin" was OK (not fantastic, not dull, just not an immediate purchase), but it left me with so many questions about the story I wished I'd bought the earlier release when I saw it.

Oh well... got more than enough to be getting on with before "Killzone 2" anyway :)

Good price and best to order from amazon as HMV are sllllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooowwwwwwwww.lol

Played the demo and its really good. Like the original just better graphics, more guns and that little girl is as twisted as ever...... not to mention you have robotic suits like that in ..............aliens (cough) .

Heat added, although agree so many big titles coming out in march some may want to wait for this to be 19.99 or less.

Oh yes, the "robotic suit" :)

I missed that on the first pass through the end of the demo & ended up taking on all the other "robotic suited" on-screen characters on foot... almost made it to the end too!

On retrospect, the demo was better than OK. I have read some comments on the demo that it was scary & "it made be jump twice" (or whatever). I sat there (alone) in the dark [no, that's another deal], and because I knew that there was the possibility of enemies lurking in shadows (or whatever) I went through the demo very carefully & was ready for what happened.

It was still a little weird in places though. Like I said, I'd like to play the earlier game to get some of the background story. Not that it would help whilst I'm on foot shooting stuff with big guns, but it might explain the odd stuff I was seeing on screen :)

I agree with FP. I'm currently playing FEAR 1 (on my PS3) and it is ok but not mind-blowingly enough to make me get FEAR 2 on release day so I will wait for the price to drop, say to £17.99.

Plus I'm not sure it would help with the story of 2, as I don't have a clue as to what is going on.

I paid £7 off ebay (including postage). It is a Region 1 but that is fine.
With the current price level of games I'm not really sure that it is worth much more.

I had discounted this because it was out of stock, but thanks for taking the trouble to look :)

Played the demo the other night, and it freaked me out something chronic - what was heck was going on in the school? Spooky...................:|

May the GameTrailers.com video hosted on this page at Joystiq.com will help with the plot (or not)...

"Experience a F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin briefing"

Cheers - I'll have a look at that later...........(flippin Tiscali throttling my bandwidth in the evening............grrrr............).

EDIT: right, watched it, now I know who the girl is - but wtf were those faces/things popping out of nowhere in the school? I couldn't shoot them so I just ran away in the end (and got squashed by a train!).............

Enjoyed the demo, but already buying SFIV this month :) Couldn't finish the first one, I think wearing headphones in the dark whilst huddled round a laptop (in the cold) made it too scary.
