Is there a deal for a family of 3?
[mod]#2
I'm thinking same thing Haylhoo - I quite like Taybarns and can happily stuff my face till I'm fit to burst.

Well it would be cheaper to take this voucher with you and pay for 4!
#4
But no,think this is the only promotion at the minute!

I'm thinking of kidnapping my neice for a few hours anyway :D

isnt this around the usual prce anyway, it is pretty much around £5 for all you can eat, so the deal is probably more the free drinks I guess? since usually cost another £1-£2 for all you can drink.

//Edit Ah it costs a lot more at weekends it seems. So quite a saving if you have a family of 4.

Dare i admit it but we celebrated NYE in Taybarns Newcastle Under Lyme! We had sooo much fun believe it or not.Drinks are cheap aswell.Pint's are only £1.79 bottle of wine £5.00.After the food stopped the party started.Doing the Conga around the place with everyone was slightly drunk was funny..........:p

my kids are 16 and 14 dont think I get away with this lol

What are the weekend prices then please guys - just for the food and plus drinks?
Not been in ages, tbh got really bored after a couple of visits.

Bit unfair they don't consider smaller families in the offer.

Obviously trying to get people through the doors in what is always a lean month.

Lol so it does actually work out cheaper with this deal for 2 adults, 1 child and drinks.

Although thinking on, there are places where we could get a decent meal and a drink each for less than £20. It's still quite a lot to fork out this time of year, but great if you enjoy the food and you can enjoy it. I think that's just reminded me why we never go there any more.

I presume under 10 means 9 years and 364 days old or younger and is meant to exclude those who are 10 years old.

my oldest child is 11 so it makes it £30WHICH IS HARDLY ANY CHEAPER THAN NORMAL...

This is the vilest and dirtiest place I have ever had the displeasure of eating, why anyone would want to go more than once is beyond me.

As an aside, I also think that for the standard of food that they offer at Taybarns, £5 a head is not a great deal. I mean, it's just school dinners.

The Taybarns at Newcastle upon Tyne(Gateshead actually) is still brand new and completely spotless. The foods all freshly prepared and cooked so I can't see how it's possibly so bad! Nevermind hot from me.

It's possible to be bad food as it's all pre-prepared and shipped in. In the Coventry Taybarns they have massive vats of hot water on display that keep warm the boil in the bag curries/chinese food. All sausages and chips are all just frozen and fried - it isn't "prepared" at all, unless you count removing from a cardboard box preparing.

As for the cleanliness, just give it a while! The one I went to had a large black patch on the floor that the scraping bin lived above - as I watched it I could see the old dried on food spread down the sides of the canteen style food bin. The black patch was a massive stain of old food.

You can ask for a clean plate if you're too posh to eat off the floor. :D

Hot deal if you want his sort of thing, thanks OP.
