There's a reason it's this cheap, there's no force feedback or vibration, making it pretty damn pointless.

It's the equivalent of tying a WiiMote to your dog to simulate crashes on Mario Kart.

I......I've got to ask. How do you know it's like tying your WiiMote to a dog?

Trouble with upping the ante every time ( a £40-60-80-100 etc ) then going G25 G27 where does it all end? They go £500 just for a wheel & pedals, then maybe a frame, oh and a £150 seat, so why not go the whole hog and shell out £35,000 on a multi-screen all-in-one; mind you,if I had the money to waste? But then again, within months,it would be ' last years model' like my nexus & iphones always are!

You realise that they are close to £200? This one is potentially £40. A slight difference, but yes I agree that if you were to spend hundreds of pounds more you could get better. It's like Hamilton saying why get a G25 when you could get an actual racing car. Slight exaggeration I know but the point is there.

Would this work on a desktop PC operating on Windows 7? My OH would love to have a steering wheel and pedals to use his Formula 1 racing games again.

I know the most likely answer is no but if I play GTA with this can I use both the controller and the steering wheel for example as soon as I leave the car use the controller?

I wasn't aware the G25 or G27 were compatible with Xbox. The specs for G25 show PC or Playstation and G27 seems to be PC or am I missing something?

Had a notification this morning from Tesco that this is no longer available to buy and they've cancelled my stock alert. Would have gone for one of these - anyone suggest an alternative at under £80 ?
    Many thanks

If it has to be xbox one compatible then this wheel is your only current option at under £80. You could wait for other wheels to come on the market but im not sure MS themselves will make another, aside from one similar to the 360 speed wheel.

This is the next cheapest for this wheel: dabs.com/pro…=16

Thanks very much, has given me something to think about. Was too slow for this deal. Bought an xbox one for Christmas for my 2 sons with Forza Horizon 2 and being new to gaming was amazed at how good it is. I'm looking forward to having a go, but don't think I would get on with a controller. Speed wheel might be a good bet if one comes out.

I've never tried the speed wheel so i cannot say on that front, but i ordered one of these from tesco and i've just tried it with horizon 2, feels really good for this price. Sure theres no force feedback but i had the old xbox 360 wheel with force feedback and this feels alot smoother/more sensitive in comparison. I do recommend at around the £50 price point, especially for Horizon 2.

Sounds very good, not bothered about force feedback myself - sounds like it's better in some ways without. Generally very good feedback on Amazon as well - a real bargain at what you paid. Think I might see if any stores have any - managed to get a couple of moto Gs in September after seeing a deal on here so you never know.

Do you use the "in-car" view ?

Yes for the most part i do use in car, apart from the odd time when i want to look at the environments in Horizon 2 as there are some beautiful areas in that game. The wheel matches up very well with the in-car view, no noticeable delay.
