Ferrari Opus iPhone App - £0.59p @ iTunes

The 'real' version of the Ferrari Opus is a magnificent collection but a little pricey for even the most avid Ferrari fans like myself, with an RRP of £2000!

However, I have just stumbled across a digital version of the Opus for a similarly ridiculous price at the other end of the scale at £0.59p (!) on iTunes.

Still downloading mine as I write (505mb!) but will report back.

So you posted this before you've even tried the app?

Using the same logic, I'm voting this cold without consulting brain first.

downloading, thanks

As a massive fan of Ferrari, and without £2k to spend on the real thing, yes, I posted this.

In future I'll make sure to do a full test before posting so nobody risks spending 59p on something they may like.

iPad version £1.19 voted hot. Excellent price for an excellent book.
#5
Someone posted on the ipad version that you cant make the pictures into wallpaper but you can on any app...to take a screenshot press power and the ipad button at the same time to take a piccy!
#6
Big old download but it's really impressive.

Any Ferrari fan should have this and I think most car enthusiasts will actually like this a lot.

I'd happily pay a lot more than 59p for this.

Would love an iPad version.

Heat added for an unusual deal!..

Regrettably it's not about Skoda so it's of no interest to us HUKD members.
#12
Heat added -but bear in mind it's unreadable on an iPhone. Pictures are pretty but the text cannot be made large enough to read - at least I can't manage it on my 3GS.

Even if he had'nt started to download it or even intended to, it is still worth posting.
As for voting cold when you havent even looked into this yourself....Re-read your own post.

enough of the sniping.jeez voted hot thanks for posting.

Well worth 59p! The text in some pages are difficult (but not impossible on an iPhone 4) the images are well worth it for a Ferrari enthusiast.
Thanks for posting the deal

COLD!

Downloaded the ipad version. Some pages are still hard to read even zoomed to the limit! Picture quality is brilliant.
You also get a discount voucher when buying the hard copy at 2 grand - 20k, so for those who are buying the hard copy, the cost of this app is free, or cheaper than free! 8)

You're in luck. I thought the same at first (text is only just about readable on a retina screen!).

So - at the bottom of each pair of pages you'll see red button. Press this and a set of icons open up.

The first is the index/navigation.
Second is zoom (or alternatively double click on an image)
The Third is the text button and that magnifies the text to a readable size (just like the third screenshot on the app store).
The Fourth Icon shows comments/annotations for the photos.
The Fifth is for Media files (when relevant)
The Sixth is to mark a page as favourite/bookmark
The Seventh is to share on Facebook/Twitter/email/sms
The Eighth is about the Opus(es or should it be Opusi?)

Hope that helps as it's crucial to be able to read the fascinating text despite the pictures being more than enough to satisfy me!

Post #18 above by montana78 shows the icons I'm talking about.

This is what it looks like (page 59 of the Opus)

What a plonka - if you have to buy and test anything you think may be of use to others on here then I think most deal posts should be pulled.

Perhaps it was the 59p investment required that had you worried?

Voted HOT - as it should, be without the need to consult brain!

Thanks OP. Went for the £1.19 iPad version.

Mustve missed something as I'd thought this was a deals website?

This app has always been 59p and retails for that so can the hukd members voting hot pls explain to my meagre brain where the deal is?

Sorry voted cold as I feel it should be in Misc ...

I'd never seen the app before (which surprised me being a Ferrari fan) and merely felt that it was a bargain based on what was being received for 59p.

http://www.gumball3000.com/blog/ferrari-opus-book

"Ferrari have kept this Edition ultra exclusive and if you want one you'll have to part with $275,000! Although once you have parted with the cash you'll be safe in the knowledge you are joining an elite club - Ferrari are only going to limit the sale to one per country. "

So that will be quite a good saving at £1.19 for the ipad version then.

Doodle jump 59p, angry birds 59p, cut the rope 59p ...

Oh wait they're bargains but not deals. As usual I'm in the minority going by the heat you're getting - or are they lemmings giving heat without reading the post 1st? - keep forgetting this isn't a deals website any more!

Wow.

I really wish I hadn't bothered posting it.

Apologies to anyone who wasted any of their time on this due to it being a bargain but not a 'deal'.

Don't be put off posting further deals, it's typical behaviour of HKUD members (as is in real life)
