12 months subscription to fhm for £12.

Quidco available @ £6 making it just 50p per issue.

Quidco has just increased to £6, i got this deal about a month ago when quidco £5, and i have received my 1st issue and just had my cash back paid. The £12 was taken in one direct debit payment, and i subsequently cancelled the dd so it cant automatically renew in 12 months. I would advise you do the same!

Great last minute gift, i'm not sure if you can print out a gift certificate or not

go through quidco for a start, then the cheap subscription is at the bottom of the fhm page under all the others.

Thankyou!!

Did this and got £5 cashback tracked (not £6) but not complaining.
#8
That's cheap! :)
#9
tis not a bad mag, i get GQ, Esquire and prefer the reviews and interviews in this, GQ seems to have gone bit poncey
#10
Good deal if you are a 14 year boy
#11
too much like a soft porn mag for me

but heat added as it is a good deal
#12
Great if you like heavily airbrushed models. Give me an Escort or Razzle subscription over this any day.

Ever read it? Its actually more than its made out to be... Not just a **** mag...
#14
it was a good mag 5yrs ago
#15
I remember buying it about 10 years ago. It's a bit pants if you ask me, fine if you're 18 or so I guess.
#16
I have always been a fan of emma bunton and louise nurdling, thought they have essentially not existed for the past 10 years. anyways, not a huge fan of no name chicks with their breasts out.

on a serious note, does anyone know if there is such a deal available on a computer or gming magazine?
#17
If you pay a bit extra you get a free gift.
They're not fully grasping the concept of "free gift", there, are they...

As others have said, the mag used to be good - but has been dire for the last few years. (Or we're too old for it. Or it's both.)

Been this price for a long time, so I've not voted one way or the other.
#18
Just trying to do this for my son. Is it me or has Great Magazines disappeared from Quidco??

Search greatmagazines one word

So this is for 12 months, then £30.00 thereafter. Would the direct debit need to be cancelled, if so, is this easy to do?
#23
yeah, as soon as you get your first mag or the payment goes out first of all just cancel the direct debit and its done, i do it online easily. Doesnt affect the mags being sent out
#24
Couldnt you pay the £30 subscription, get the "free" game, sell it and then that, along with Quidco, should cover the whole supscription shouldnt it??
#25
doesn't really matter what the magazine used to be like.....you're only paying 50p for it now.....what can you get for 50p nowadays????

Weird isn't it? I just don't see the appeal at all. I may as well buy a Photoshop magazine.

Totally agree. Used to buy FHM myself religiously, but the last couple of years, the wife has bought me a subscription as one of my chrimbo pressies.

However, if it was my own money every month, I don't think i'd be buying it much anymore.

Still enjoy flicking through it, but it aint the mag it once was, and certainly not worth its shelf price.

Quidco's great - if you remember to use it. I only get a quid or two here and there but it's added up to over £100 in the 11 months I've been a member. It might take a while for you to see much benefit - typically I find you get the cash about 2 months after your purchase.
And bear in mind they keep the first fiver you earn - so you're only looking at £1 if this is your first transaction with them.

Your best bet's to have a look at the web site, to be honest!
#31
No way would I pay £12 or even £6 for this pile of rubbish.

Had a subscription to get the two free games about two years back and couldn't believe how crap it was. Irritates me how much advertising there is in these magazines... why do we have to pay to read adverts?
#32
I went for the same thing about 6 months ago. Whilst I'd never pay whatever the cover price is in a million years it's worth £6 for 12 issues. A few months ago there was a £5 off voucher inside the mag for Debenhams that made the cost £1. ...Except my mate sent me his as well so I was £4 up on the deal!

I can't tell if it IS that much worse than it was years ago or whether I'm just looking at it with a different pair of eyes now. No internet then.....

Nah, its definitely not as good as it was - the magazine itself is about half the thickness it used to be for a start, despite the cover price going up. Think it was about £2.90 when I started buying it, but it now costs about £4/issue.

I used to enjoy reading a lot of the articles - not just look at the pics :whistling: but now, it seems to be losing a lot of the humour it used ot have, and appears to be going for a bit more style over substance. Its almost turning into an Esquire or GQ wannabe, whereas it started nearer a rival to Loaded.

i dont understand what ppl are moaning about its a great deal if u read the mag if not why post?

Same here, although when I do get round to reading them you can't really knock it for 50p a pop.

Great deal! I will sell it in my newsagents, read it and then sell it along and make a good profit to boot! Nice. Much better than the rubbish return Menzies gives me.
