Theres something missing from that.

"Save 74% - Annual Direct Debit @ £25.00, First 12 issues @ £12.00"
#2
Can you cancel your direct debit online? Or do you have to call some nasty 0845/0871 number?

Cancelling a DD via Online Banking is all well and good but are you sure that you don't need to give them 30day notification come month 11 because you are tied into automatic renewal contract?

OK guys, dont worry, sign up then cancel. you only pay the £12.00. its that simple. i have done this many times with other magazines.

where?

Or did you mean including quidco?
#13
Oh well, just ordered, with £6 quidco 50p/issue for 12months can't be ignored :)

I think their claim to bringing us the "world's best women" is a little far fetched. They may be damn good looking women, with some damn good airbrushing done to make them even better looking, but what have they achieved and contributed to earn the title "world's best women"?

So FHM contains "everything a man needs to know"? I somehow doubt that it contains anything a man needs to know.

i did this and got £6 through quidco after they have taken the money cancell dd then every 12 months start again had fhm 3years at cheap price now
#16
This is a great deal... although a repeat. I took it up a month or so ago... canceled DD as soon as it cleared, and hey presto... 50p an issue! Still waiting for quidco to pay up tho (although it tracked successfully)....
#17
I got this for £6.00 the last time the offer was on, the 1st issue was crap, I remember more sexy women being in it when I was a teenager, it seems like they prefer writing about stuff now, less taking pics of semi nudy women, meh

Yeah I got it when in 6th form.

Zoo/Nuts have the soft porn niche now, some Men's Magazine's matured :)

thanks OP and others, I just went through quidco so fingers crossed it will track ok

so when you got the £12 DD charge on your card, can you cancel the DD straight away via online banking? and then do you still have to give "Great Magazines" a telehpone call to cancel? will they still send you a mag each month for 12 months?

btw anybody know which month can I start the subscription from? also how are the mags packaged? is it in clear plastic bag with the covers showing?
#22
I get Mens Health comes in a clear bag from postie.

As I understand it you order, £12 DD charge, come 12th month the normal subscription begins.

You should cancel the dd from your account via telephone or online banking come around 3months use a website like www.memotome.com to remind you including a harsh message so you don't forget :)

agreed!

thx for the info schizoboy, so does it have to be 3 months, or earlier or later? or even the 11th month (just before the 30 days notice to cancel the contract/DD), and yeah cancelling right away after the £12 DD charge makes you look bad (especially if you have to phone up & speak to them), prefer to wait a few months before cancelling (a " change of mind" can be an explanation when/if calling)

anybody else have experience with this company?
#25
3months made sense to me, i might do it later mind.
#26
Nice! :)
#27
I got this when it was posted a few months ago.

It's full of lists...best way to drink a hippopotamus, the best spatial arrangement to have an orgasm in zero-G, the bluest sea's in the world, longest human entrails etc.

That kind of stuff - I could google it all in about 5 mins. Not what it was, or maybe I'm not what I was, alright for 50p delivered though!(quidco)
#28
Thanks, il give this a go, got to be worth it for 50p a issue
#29
I'm not seeing this deal via quidco, only the £25 for 12 month deal appears but its still there directly. Can anyone help?

Good deal for people too shy to go into a petrol station and buy a proper porn mag or "Porn for Cowards" as i like to say.

I think loaded, nuts, zoo have all cornered that market, I got this as my Men's Health deal was over and I wanted something else in the living room, considering it's Britains number 1 Men's Magazine and how it has lessened of late it's Daily Staresque nudity, calling it porn for cowards is quite ignorant.
