My OH's FHM has just been delivered and he spotted this which is an excellent price. It is normally about £36 to subscribe for the year - saving £24. There is no free gift and you must be a new subscriber paying by direct debit. To subscribe you need to call 01858 438806 and quote JSGG, or go to http://www.greatmagazines.co.uk/jsgg.
Go through Quidco for another 10% back for an even better deal!!!

Nice one, just ordered now.
Don't forget to cancel the DD once the first annual payment has been taken ;)

Thanks

possible 10% via quidco
#3
Great Christmas gift! :)

I cancelled my direct debit about 2 weeks ago for my last subscription. Anyone know if I can get this new deal?
#5
how come it says "Save 74% - Annual Direct Debit @ £25.00, 1st Year"? is the £12.00 only for 6 months or something?

edit: never mind - i just clicked the DD button to add it to my basket, and it then expands on the above and says "Save 74% - Annual Direct Debit @ £25.00, 1st Year @ £12.00"..

nice deal!

Recently had a 3 issues for £1 deal. It's really gone downhill since the old days. It was really thin and full of ads. The weekly's like nuts and zoo + the internet has killed off mags like this i'd say.

Good for £1 I suppose though so still a hot deal.

It's £25 for the 2nd year. Just cancel the direct debit after they collect the first payment.

this is hot

So if i add the £12.00 direc debit to my account, and once the have billed me for the £12.00 i can then cancel the subscription - but still get 12 issues for the year?
#10
HOT it would be rude not to subscribe at that :-)
#11
Just ordered also hope this is easy to cancel after first payment.

Voted HOT :)

I've seen a few super-discounted offers for magazine subs lately - remember that subscriptions like these are one of the first things people cancel when money is tight, so there will be plenty of offers around in the near future............. the magazines need to keep their subscriber numbers up at certain levels because the rates they charge advertisers are dependent upon circulation figures......
#13
Great find, heat added, theres always something in there to put a smile on your face

Great find - HOT :)

Yeh same, there seems to be a trend here, a lot of people stopped reading this. I know a few of my mates did the same.
A bit dissapointing really as it used to be a great mag but its not the same anymore. Im a regular buyer of GQ now which is a much better read, although I am seriously tempted at this price!

Order as a Christmas Pressie :)

Must be an age thing - I moved onto GQ too! lol. Will get this though as its a steal at this price. Read and sell on fleabay to usa customers :) (ducking for all the flames :whistling: ).
#22
Whoo hoo just ordered!
#23
My quidco has tracked already at £1.20 :)
#24
Excellent deal!

Can you just cancel it with your bank or do you have to cancel with the publisher in writing?
#25
wait a bit you might get even cheaper maybe?

edit: just been to their website and saw the deal with an xbox game worth 45 quid. 6 issues for £16.99 so you are obviously making a profit here including quidco.

+1, i'm getting tired of FHM myself. We must be getting old
#27
Cheers OP have gone for this. Heat added
#28
I had some trial subscription for FHM recently and agree with the posts above that it has got terribly boring. Not an inch on what it used to be like (and not even worth a pound IMO)
#29
why not go for 6 months for 16.99 and get saints row 2 on PS3 or 360 free? (seems like a way better offer to get saints row 2 for £10 odd and sell it if needs be?)

Minimum subscription is 12 months, so another payment of £16.99 will be took in 6 months time, meaning total cost of £33.98.

where does it say that? no subscription forces you to have it for a year your meant to be they dont force you 6 month slots is so you can cancel sooner then later.

Take a look at the website again, its at the bottom of the subscription options page:-

** Direct Debit purchases have to be bought individually and minimum subscription term is 12 months. Your basket contents will be kept safe for you while you set up your Direct Debit.

yer but every site says that yet they still let you cancel your contract is with dennis publishing and they dont stop you.
#34
You asked me where it said it and I told you.

It's up to you if you want to run the risk.

The contract is NOT with Dennis Publishing (maybe you are getting confussed with Maxim magazine?) The contract is with Bauer Consumer Media, the publisher of FHM (See FHM.com)

Read the small print, pretty sure it will be the same as when I got Auto Express. "Only available to first 250 people" after that tough you're in anyway.

Tempted at this price, I got Auto Express at a good price and meant to cancel but hey refused to cancel by email/phone and said I had to send a letter. I suppose I could have just cancelled the DD...
#39
you cant turn down the shymans porn1 bargain
#40
the deal for the free saints row 2 game for £30 i think is better
