Ive seen the other FHM deal thread and this deal was mentioned, which in my opinion is a much better deal, if your after the mag!
People were asking about it and confusing it with the other deal, so ive decided to make a new thread to try make it a little easier!

My Quidco has already validated for £2, and im not too fussed about the game (likely to go on ebay)
I know people will come on here and say its going to say promo stamped all over the game, but even if it does, looking at previous auctions it will fetch a tenner or eight at worst.

So im my eyes im looking at roughly a years subscripion to FHM for no more than £10!!!
Also please note you must sign up via direct debit, but unlike the other deal that caused allot heated discusson on if it was morale or legal to cancel a DD after the first 6 months was taken when you "agreed to let it go for 12 month" this is a 12 month agreement. So you can sleep at night knowing you can cancel the DD the moment they have taken the £20!!

This deal is for 12 issues not 6!!!
This is my point!!!
People are confused or seem to be?
The deal you mention is for 6 mags!! (6 months on a 12 month agreement £34 for 12 mags!)
This is £20 for 12 mags
Even if you say i will cancel after the first and runk the risk, its still costing you £17 for 6 mags as aposed to £20 for 12

I was saying it was an option, in my opionon this is a better deal
Both come with the game, so im not factoring that into the comparison

On its own i would say £20 for 12 mags that cost £3.95 each is it? is pretty hot on its own, the game is a bonus

Good Bargain this... ordered :-)

Thanks for the post... not sure how the 6 issue is a better deal. Been meaning to buy the game for a bit so saved me a job and a bit of cash.
#4
i will give you £10 inc delivery for the game :)
#5
Not sure why loads of people are voting cold and not giving reasons? If there is a better deal i would like to see it!
#6
good deal man good deal
#7
So am I well within my rights to cancel the DD immediately after the first (and only) payment of £20 has been taken? And can this be done online?

Seems a great deal this anyway, voted hot.

Good Deal, they did this last year with Assasins Creed..voted Hot:thumbsup:
#9
Yeah you can.. the £20 you pay covers the next 12 issues. After that there is no obligation to continue with the DD (eg in 12months when they are due to collect £30). I would wait until you get the game though for peace of mind. They won't attempt to collect the £30 for next years subs for another 11 or 12 months so there's no rush.

Thanks OP - went for this.

Cheers again,

What do you search for to get this to work via Quidco - I can only get the Tshirt or 6 month for £16.99 deals to come up... but when I click on the link attached here, the £20 one comes up... odd...

Also, quidco says if you add the code: Gmags£5off you can get a further fiver off... but not on DDebits... so perhaps wont help...
#12
Well mine tracked at £3....

Just go through the quidoco link and change url to the offer link posted in the previous deal (dont ask for it again it was posted yesterday)

I went for the £30 one off payment option, no DD.

Not worth messing with dd for a £10 saving IMO.

£30 for 12 issues and the game is a good enough for me......I buy this mag at a fiver a time.......
#13
definete hot deal, can see ebay being inundated with copies of this game for sale over the next few weeks
#14
ordered, thanks for this
#15
cheers, just ordered .. a good deal ive been missing maxim since my cheap sub ran out, this'll do :)
#16
Voted Hot! Thanks :-)

It's a Hot mag for a Hot price, much better than Maxim.

Do the following to reduce the subscription cost or even make a profit if you're lucky:

* Go through Quidco for £2 cashback, it's 10% off your sub.
* Flog the game on flebay if you don't want it
* Cancel your direct debit before the 12mth is up, otherwise you'll pay £30 renewal.
* Flog used/unread mags on flebay

I did that same.

Bit annoyed that on the Quidco page, there is a bit saying..
Please read the following before proceeding:

Don't forget about Greatmagazines' £5 e-voucher, which can be used until 6th October 2008! By typing 'Gmags£5off' when purchasing, you will be able to get a further £5 of a magazine subscription (orders must be over £10' not available with direct debit orders).

The code didn't work.

Still, good price in the first place after Quidco and the free game.

Re-read what I did.

I made the one off credit card payment for £30, not the DD version.

The code should have been valid.

I've ordered the £20 for first year, £30 after that. Thanks

Does anyone know if i cancel my DD next month... will i continue to recieve the magazines until the end of the year?

To get to work Via quidco i did the following:
Took a note of the URL of this deal which is:
http://www.greatmagazines.co.uk/store/displaystore.asp?sid=3669

Then went via quidco went to great mags which went to the following URL:
http://www.greatmagazines.co.uk/store/custompage.asp?customid=346&cust[email protected]@[email protected]

So all i did was copy the displaystore.asp?sid=3669
from the original url that we want, pate it over where it should go (just after the /store/) onto the url that quidco went to and order, Quidco still tracks the order as your stil linked to them.
This make sense? Or am i babbling?? lol

Hi.

I ordered this deal ages ago (about 6 weeks) and have received my first copy of the magazine but still no game.

This morning I got a letter from FHM saying....

"Dear Subscriber,

Thank you for taking out a subscription to FHM, I hope you enjoy all the great features that we have coming up in the next 12 months.

As part of you subscription deal we will give you a copy of Rainbow Six Vegas 2. I'm pleased to tell you that a copy of this game has been reserved in your name.

The manufacturer, Ubisoft, have informed us that there is a shortage of Rainbow Six Vegas 2. They are currently pressing more discs and have advised us that the games will arrive at our warehouse in the first week of December. As soon as they arrive we will dispatch your copy to you.

Enjoy your subscription, and sorry for the delay of your free gift.

FHM."

...So, at least that clears it up for people (like me) that are still waiting to receive their game.

Hope this info helps :-)
#37
Yep, just recieved the letter too.

Had an email reply on 26/11 after I had asked if I could have Saints Row 2 instead, but was told this was also out of stock and Rainbow 6 Las Vegas would be sent out as soon as stock became available.
