Can these cards work ad-hoc with a netbook/laptop and no router/wireless AP?

EDIT: To answer my own question, it seems you need a Pro version of the card.

Read these reviews before purchasing (this is for the newer model but I suspect still holds true for the older Share model).

"I have read reports that these memory cards are not as reliable as the major none Wi-fi cards such as Sandisk.. but to date I have not had any problems. That said I would not trust these cards with critical photographs"

"Upload speeds are so bad that you might as well plug your camera or card directly into into your computer"

"So it gets 3 of my finest stars because yes it does the job of wirelessly uploading, but basically once you get down to it it's just an expensive, quicker "look-no-hands" way of uploading your photos. "

I have used one for some months, I have set mine to upload to a NAS drive, its brilliant as all my pics automaticlaly end up in one place, would recommend it at this price.
