Don't forget Quidco or Nectar points

* Clinical Finishing: A true next-generation ball-striking engine calculates shot success by combining an almost infinite number of different contexts, including ball spin, pressure from defenders, player attributes, and even air pressure to recreate the drama and unpredictable nature of shooting.
* Intelligent Football: Now featuring A.I. with a 35-point decision engine which enables players to process 1,000 potential options and reactions every second in real-time - more than 60,000 options every minute - via a dynamic 'Threat Map' system to capture the excitement and realism of soccer.
* Be a Pro - Offline Training: Think and react like a real professional football player. Play the entire game as a fixed player while getting real-time feedback and analysis on the fly. A unique camera angle keeps both player and action in focus, zooming in when you're on attack.
* Pro Skills: A new, organic building-block system enables you to combine tricks and skill moves together to recreate signature moves from the real-world superstars or define your own style of play. Animations can be interrupted at any time to transition into a new move, just like real-life.
* Manual Controls: Dictate the play with new manual controls for through-passing and crossing. Now use the right-stick to quickly switch defenders and choose exactly who you want defending, when you want him.
* Online Leagues: Create and organise your own multiplayer Friends Leagues and tournaments with all the tools in-game.
* EA Sports Interactive Leagues: Represent your club online against your rivals throughout the season in the F.A. Premier League, Bundesliga, French League or Mexican 1st Division. Features weekly in-game podcasts by the development team.

Just ordered mine, because it's so soon after FIFA 09 fingers crossed it'll be the normal version - not the classic!

I think it's a great price for a well respected version of the series.

You guys do know that when a new EA Sports title comes out the online features get cut from older/last yrs versions EA sports games right?
That means that you can only play it offline

Awesome deal for newcomers to the genre.

Hmm, I played my Xbox Original version of Fifa07 on Xbox Live on my 360 last night so that can't be right?!

That's the first i've heard of it (and I thought I kept my ear fairly close to the floor). If that's true i'm shocked, but a 2-3 year turnaround would be acceptable.

Didn't notice 'til last night that the classics version was released in June, so will probably get that one no matter what i cross!

Ah well, £7.99 for a quality football game and gamer points isn't too bad imo

I suggest that you dont buy it and spend abit more to get fifa 09 as it is so much better. Playing this game left me getting stressed and shouting at my screen every time I played it because it was so unrealistic

Ditto...

morrisons have fifa 09 for £25 but only for ps3, so OP was wrong to state that.

its a great deal - £7.99 on xbox or £9.99 for ps3 (from gamestation) - either way its a bargain and still uses the online element.

btw why would people be annoyed if they got the classics version, or platinum on ps2/3/psp???

ive never understood it - its not like its a different game, just different packaging. and tbh i preferred the silver cases for platinum ps2/psp games.

Morrison's this week only. But if you go down to PC World, they'll ring Morrison's and providing they have stock PCW will 110% price match them giving it for £23.50. If you're also a student (like me) they'll give you a further 10% off taking it down to £21.15!!!

If they say the till can't give you the student discount as well as pricematch, say you've had it given you before and they'll have to manually enter the discount.

Good luck

I'm sure a Morrison's employee said on here they were imminently dropping the 360 price aswell, but i'll edit it now

I don't like Classics games because they're cheap, so their resale value is next to nothing. No matter what price you pay for a normal sleeve game, you can always say you paid full price and people would be none the wiser.

If i saw a classics version game on ebay, i'd naturally pay a lot less than i would for a normal sleeve game

Surely this doesn't apply to Xbox Live as their are no EA servers as such on Live - games are hosted peer to peer?
