This game will be released on 29/09/07.

FIFA 08 on the Wii makes it easy for the whole family to play and enjoy with a flick of the wrist. Featuring superstar Ronaldinho as the first player created as a unique and playable mini character, youll experience like you never have before.

There are two ways to play. In the main game, FIFA 08 on the Wii is a truly authentic experience with more control than ever before. Now you pass, shoot, and perform trick moves all with a flick of the wrist. The all-new unique Footii Party with Ronaldinho mode introduces three party games featuring Ronaldinho as his own unique avatar. Play Juggling, Table and Boot It with your self-created Mii character to unlock Ronaldinho and take on the champ. Have fun and watch the meter count your calories burned.

Dont forget to use quidco if you have an account which takes the price down to £24.35

AARRGGHH - this sounds so good, and I'm really tempted... but if I'm honest, I'm more of a ProEvo man, and will have to wait to play it first hand before I part with my money.

But it sounds so good... Hope I don't add an "EDIT", like hothothot

Tempted by this game! Might wait til some reviews come out first though!
#4
don't waste your money on this game, it's for 7-14 year olds...
#5
Wait for Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 otherwise you will be envious of your mates who did.

Thanks jonboy0802, nice find :)

I've took some of the description from your OP and pasted it here as it was stretching way down the front page :)

The games revolutionary FreeMotion controls help level the playing field for all players and turns FIFA 08 on the Wii into a physical, social activity. Use motions to control everything from tackling to shooting and throw-ins to freekicks. Send the ball exactly where you intended with a wave of the Wii remote and Nunchuk. Its easy to pick-up and play and with the in-game Academy you can learn basic and advanced controls in more than 30 interactive tutorials. Each lesson teaches you how to master the FreeMotion controls and perform all the necessary movements to dominate on the pitch. Or you can choose to play using EA SPORTS Family Play, a simplified control system using just the Wii remote that enables novice players to focus on having fun while the console does the rest. Choose to play the style that best suits your skills.

FIFA 08 thrusts you into the action and challenges you to play like a pro to win glory for your club. Mesmerize defenders with authentic individual skill and play like a real player. Dictate the play with all-new controls for through-passing and crossing, or control your goalkeeper in one-on-one situations to deny an onrushing striker. Intelligently manage your club by preparing for each specific opponent using new custom formations. Design your own unique strategy to create the perfect formation and tactics. Move players to the exact position in relation to team-mates to undermine the opposition.

FIFA 08 has licenses for all of the worlds top leagues, over 570 licensed teams and more than 14,000 players. Plus, the award-winning Interactive Leagues first introduced in FIFA 07, now comes to the Wii. Represent your club online* against your rivals throughout the season in the F.A. Footii Party Play three completely unique Party Games -- Juggling, Boot It and Table to unlock Ronaldinho and take on the champ. Have fun and watch the meter count your calories burned.

Juggling Use your self-created Mii and the Wii remote to see how many times you can juggle the ball. Watch out, though, as opponents can use trick balls and spins to throw you off your game.

Boot It Play as the goalie or the shooter with up to three friends in a simultaneous shooting frenzy. Use Wii remote gestures for both kicking and saving the ball. Take turns blasting away at targets or go all at once in rapid fire to see who can score the most points. Watch the keeper deflect balls back at you.
Table Enjoy a new twist to an old favorite in our version of Table. Use the Wii remote to trap and swing the ball to score and unlock new tables.

I really have no idea how this would play on the wii but if im going to buy it I may as well get it for £25! Just had a quick search and found nothing but are there any reviews out on it yet? Cheers

The wii review is here http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=77689

There's some screenies up too which make it look a bit of a poor imitation compared to xbox version.
#9
thanks thats useful but more of a first impressions. I would have thought some magazines woudl have reviewed it by now. Its usually bad news if the software company doesnt want the game reviewed til after it has came out.

The wii will never compete with the xbox for graphical power but i think the controls could be really inovative if done in the right way. It'd be a gamble buying with no review though
#10
I would buy (if i had a Wii) graphics remind me of Kick off on my old amiga (now that was an addictive game).

also the Wii remote sounds like it has been put to good use and if it does what they say, should be easy for people to start to use then go on to do more advanced moves.
#11
hehe it does look a little like kick off. Or world cup 94 for the mega drive :D

I might go for it, this has to be the best price
#12
Pro Evo for Wii isn't being developed by the same team as the original/newer version - so I would also approach that one with caution too!

I'm really interested in this for the online play, but since it's an EA published game, you can bet the online will be complete bollo*ks, what a shame.
#13
just been on to pre order this and its coming up with voucher discount included as £28.89
#14
Ive ordered it, but they must of changed the price, as it is £28.89 using voucher

#19
same here I wanted to get this after reading the review.
#20
It says in the review that you have to register on EA's servers for the online play. Does anyone know if that means there could be a cost involved or will it stil be free?

It's a free service as far as I'm aware. Same one used for Madden 08.
