FIFA 09 - Xbox 360 - £11.98 @ choices

Seems to be the cheapest place ONLINE to get this game, if ya want it!

With the presence - yet again - of Rooney and Ronaldinho on the cover of FIFA 09, you may be forgiven for thinking that Electronic Arts has dressed up its last football game in slightly different garb, but no. There are more than 250 additions and enhancements to the core gameplay in the 360 version alone (each platform get its specific features in this year's iteration too). FIFA 09 for 360 enables the player to customise the game to suit their ability and playing style. For the first time on this platform, you can take advantage of the improvements in the game engine to customise your team's strategy and the positioning of your teammates to dictate how your team will play in any given situation. The popular Be A Pro feature - introduced last time around - has expanded to a career mode called Be A Pro: Seasons, where you can choose or create a player and then master a single outfield position over a four year period with the ultimate aim of becoming a soccer legend. The 360 version also features Adidas Live Season, wherein you receive weekly player form updates based on real world data. There are fully licensed leagues from the UK, Europe and the rest of the world, as well as all the international teams you can think of, and some you may have overlooked. The matchday experience is so true-to-life with a referee and linesmen on screen, and with the stadium atmosphere and commentary all regionalised in great detail. All this, and especially of note for England fans, the new Wembley too!

I know to get £11.98 you add £9.99 + £1.99.........

You have contradicted yourself by posting that image as it shows the game at £9.99 and P&P at £1.99.

likewise, mine has never once frozen on me, and 9 times out of 10 delivers perfect lag free encounters online, so not sure where you got this info from...

My son's game has had this problem. It happened where he couldn't load his saved 'career'/game - not sure what that means! I rang EA and they said they were aware of this problem that it was down to the repeated saving of the game which caused it to corrupt. Double dutch to me, but not sure if what he said is right as my son started another 'career' last week and saved it under a different title and he has had the problem again.

someone at EA said that? that's ridiculous, the game has autosave and if repeated saving caused a problem, well they'd have to recall discs, but it isn't the disc that saves are stored on it's the hard drive (obviously)... i know a lot of people who i play with on xbox live and ps3 who have never reported a problem... dare i say it might be your sons console at fault and not the game?

i just done a random search just to show an example, the last post was april 09, but it is still happening. What is strange tho is that not everyone has the problem?
#21
certainly a strange thing, but just to reiterate every single person i know offline and online has never reported a problem so i don't think it's widespread or worth considering to somebody looking at purchasing the game. i would suggest if the problem is anything it might be a dodgy batch of discs from a while ago or simply problems with users consoles, not the disc itself.
#22
The error would have been fixed in the updates you get when you load the game up, if you don't download the update I can see why you might be having a problem

This is something i have considered, the lad is not online all the time & only does so when i take a cat5 cable round thats long enough to reach the router, i have not done this in a while so hope this may fix his problem when i get round to taking a cable round.

Why don't you get yourself a set of these. Have just invested myself (a little dearer now) and they are fantastic!

He's had the game since it came out and the problem has only just started. All other games/disks work fine. It obviously is a problem with some disks; I'll get him to try some of the solutions suggested. Funnily enough his brother's career loads fine.
