Hello after seeing the threads about FIFA 09 being £29.79 in Tesco I called GameStation up. I asked them do they price match they said yes I said would you price match with tesco on FIFA they said yes and will beat it by £1. Witch means if you have a GameStation with in 5 miles of Tesco they will price match them and beat them by £1. Witch means you can just rip the advert out the paper of FIFA 09 being £29.79 in tesco show it to a gamestation staff member and they will give you FIFA 09 for £28.79.

They'll only do this providing the store who's price they are matching has the item in stock at that moment in time.
#2
Probably not worth the hassle unless you intend to buy the daily paper as well for saving a quid

FFS. I never usually pre-order, but I did with this one because I was hoping they might actually send out the game a day in advance like some retailers do. Meanwhile, Soft UK still haven't gotten me my copy yet despite the fact it was apparently dispatched Wednesday. Last time I pre-order.

i hope youre not saying that because you think PES will be better.

Of course its gonna be cheap, they want people to buy this before PES is out. If PES came out first, it would be dirt cheap.

And for the record, im not really a FIFA guy, infact until i played PES 2008 on PS3 and found i was decent at it, i hadnt played a footie game much since 2001. But - FIFA 09 just looks awesome, i played my brother once, but he is very very good and im only good vs the computer. He beat me (Liverpool) 3-1 and he was Doncaster lol. But still the FIFA game i think will definately outsell PES, also it has the free season trial of Adidas Live, so no more spending ages sorting out transfers etc, its all done each week via download.

My local Gamestation would not price match because the offer was only limted to the weekend. I managed to get one in tesco 7 miles away though.

since you are not a hardcore football player I want take your comment seriously. ever since i can remember fifa 96 and 98, it hasn't changed much, there was one point where the players where as fast as superman. Fifa is rubbish, it sells because of the branding only. It has no seance of realism in it, and they add so much extras because they want to suck people in such as yourself to buy the game as the main purpose of the game is not there main sale's pitch as it's not good.

Come on, I can score 50 goals against a computer in a 20minute match in Fifa... it's like I'm playing a bunch of 10year olds.

Enough said, i rest my case (these words are coming from someone who's been playing fifa since 1996 on the PS1... up until i Bought PES 2006, never picked up a copy of fifa -and before you get smart and ask how i know the new one's are not good, i played them at my friends-)

lol, talk about overkill. it's a matter of opinion. for those that like FIFA, good deal, for those that like PES, well u'll have to wait for it!

I'm a PES man, always have been, until i played the new demo. Its absolute cack i'm afraid. I've just tried FIFA and i'll be buying that I think. For me, it is more realistic, allows for more variety and requires more skill to play.

As for being able to score 50 goals v the comp, well done, but PES is hardly any different.

I expired due to teh fact that tesco is no longer selling for £29.99 and therefore you can no long price match.
