Saw a decent pre-order value for Fifa 12 as the majority of the websites and stores they are pricing it at around £45, which gives you a saving of only a fiver but if you want to make sure you get it on the date of release of the game. Its the best deal so far, but it only comes out at the start of October.

I should think at least one supermarket, if not several, will be selling the regular edition at the £25-28 mark on release, like they have the past few years. The only extra you seem to get with the special edition is card packs for Ultimate Team, one gold pack a month, I can't see that being worth the additional money.

It depends on how you play the game as if you play it online mainly (like myself), the special edition might be a worth while payment, but I do see your point, but at the current time this is the best deal you can get.

You get 3 a month, but yeah, its probably not worth it, really depends on how long you'll actually be playing the game. If its anywhere near as terrible as FIFA 11 then the extra money spent will be wasted.

people are putting all this stuff about supermarkets on release but the fact is this is 45 in game and you have found it the cheapest, for those who want to take advantage of the packs, and pre-order it its a great deal, so its definitely not a cold deal at all! 3 free packs for 6 months is also a good deal if you r into ultimate team

Totally agree with this...the point of this site is to post the cheapest deals AT THE TIME. You can't go saying "I'm going to vote cold because this will probably be a bit cheaper when it's released.
From my point of view at least, none of the local supermarkets have release day offers, and I have 2 massive Tesco's, Sainsbury, Morrisons and ASDA near me.

Amen brother! Hot as it is the cheapest at the moment!

Still, I'm not paying anywhere near what EA want for this game! Long gone are the days when this would be a first-day purchase for me! I'll wait until the game drops to around the £25 mark!

Oh great another EA sports title released a year after the last one without any noticeable differences.
