Found this instore at Poundland. I know it's 2 years old, but not a bad deal.

Fifa 12 is nearly 3 years old actually. Having a glance online I'm surprised Cex is asking for £2 for the game (PS3 version is £1 though).

Not sure why the deal is tagged Xbox One though (the system has no backward compatibility).

If it's nearly 3 years old then effectively it's 2 years old!!
2 years, 3 years, who cares? Still a good deal for my five year old!

You have to not care about a whole load of things to play such an old FIFA. Whether 2 or 3 years old, we are waiting for FIFA 15 now.

For £1 most games are worth a pop, but most FIFA players could only recommend this to casual gamers who don't necessarily follow football in real life. If u care about achievements, online play, or are a real fan of the game (and thus current squads would matter), then this would not be a good buy.

Definitely FIFA 12, it says so on the front!

FIFA12 is decent enough. Sold my copy not so long ago after maxing out the achievements. EA still support this online including FUT.

So let's see. Back in 2011 I imagine you were waiting for FIFA 12. Perhaps you even blew your cash on release. Did you find it to be a good game? Have the game mechanics changed since three years ago? What has really changed?

If there has been some revolution in football mechanics recently, please tell me. I'm sure some people play FIFA 12 online, probably because it's so cheaply available and achievements are just superficial. Current squads, that's a far worse reason to buy the new version than Call of Duty's.

Not really, hardcore football fans find this VERY important whether u do or not! If you are a diehard Spurs fan (for example :p) White Hart Lane wasn't in FIFA12. Like I said, people who just like to play 'soccer' games and don't really care about football in real life (i.e. Follow a team, watch matches on TV/IRL, follow the transfer window etc), these people won't mind too much about a roster update, but the majority of the people who buy it on a yearly basis would!

And achievements give people an incentive to play a game more than they might if they have a big library of games. I will admit I didn't buy FIFA12 and I would be all over this deal if 100% was still obtainable AND it wasn't such a grindy piece of ****! I usually buy every other year (09, 11, 13) but broke that trend with 14.

I thought you could create custom teams and rosters in recent footie games? Ain't that nearly as good? I know that doesn't work online, but whenever I've played football games in the past it's always been local with my family who love football. I guess it's a much greater experience if you get a hat trick and are able to laugh in somebody's face.

Yeah you can tbh... It's nice to have the latest kits and stuff too tho. I didn't know FIFA12 was still fully playable online... In this case it's a steal @ £1!
