This is buying directly from EA, there is no comparison to be made
average pay is a lot higher over here though compared to india
plus the piracy in poorer countries is rife - but yeah £39.99 against £11.56 is WAY too much
Sim City is cheap, I got Most Wanted too.
Mirrors Edge and other older games are around £1 to £2
Kingdoms of Amalur is just 499 rupees
Pretty much everything is a good deal

Yeh, I've just been browsing myself.
In fact, I accidentally purchased the Crysis 2 PC game instead of Fifa 12, only noticed this when I saw that there was an unlock code available.

If you preorder Fifa 13 you can get to pick an extra game for Rs. 100, which is around a quid!!
I would be wary with pre-orders, I have not had any issue with bf3 or fifas 12, but ea know people are doing this from posts on this site.
Tesco's are still offering it for £25, plus I ordered it for £19.99 from Sainsbury's; I'm not going to cancel my order and risk putting my credit card details through a proxy.
If EA can afford to sell this new game for £11 they should do it everywhere.

People don't earn as much as we do in India - so everything has to be priced accordingly
Also, in poorer countries piracy is rife - they have no chance of competing unless they offer games at a good price
Doesn't seem to work, goes back to the UK Store
