Great price. Was so close to buying this the other day, but my 360 is at the repair centre  so i decided to wait ... glad i did

edit:
incase you still have a get up and play £5 voucher you need to add something to make your order over £30. The batteries were out of stock so i just used the Spongebob card to make it £26.48

Wheey, the far superior PES is released so the price of FIFA drops to try and keep up with it ;)

Still got PES £5 cheaper and will be with me this morning in the post :)

Do you know for a fact it's far superior? I've yet to see any reviews, but last year's PES was a step backwards, and personally, whilst not a FIFA fan, I have found FIFA 08 on the Xbox 360 to be possibly the best console football game I've played in years.

Anyway, regardless of which is better it's still a good price so I'm voting this hot.

I've seen a couple of reviews that say its not superior at all.

Can you buy instore at this price too? I've got a £10 gift card lying around, but seeing as GAME are usually about £10 more expensive I haven't used it yet.

Yes it is in store as well!

Voted hot! Gutted though as I ordered mine yesterday from Tesco and thought I had got a good deal using my £10.00 off code.

Thanks mate, off to town at dinner for me then. I've played the demo (I know it's only the demo) of PES and it doesn't feel right. Probably get used to it though after time.

I might trade Fifa in after a while and get PES.

I've always been the biggest PES fan and previous versions of FIFA have made me laugh at how bad they were. However, I've played both of the new versions and at last FIFA seem to have got it right. I never thought I'd ever say it but given the choice I would go with Fifa 08.

Thank you.

Just purchased "FIFA 08" [PSP] & "FIFA 07" [PSP].

"Heat" added.

Same here. The only pro evo games i dont own are PES 2 and the newest one, because both are too fast, too easy to dribble and arcadey.

Thanks for this - I've got a PS2, so I went into my local store today and got it for £22.99 - nearly bought it yesterday for £29.99!

Gamerzines have a head to head between the two on the PS3....

Yes I believe it's comfortable better.

Infact I would say the gap that was closed last year by FIFA has now been once again opened by a far superior PES.

The only thing that will attract gamers to FIFA is that EA created it and that it is fully licensed, but an option file will be available very soon, if not already, for the new version of PES.

I have a feeling my life may be taken over by PES now!

Nice price. I've always been a ProEvo man but I recently got a 360 with PES6 and I hate it :x , so I'm torn between the two at the mo.

Are there any promotional codes available currently for Game?

So by the time you made that reply had you actually played PES and FIFA 08 to actually say that? It's just claiming PES 2008 to be far superior without actually trying it out, as when you made your first post this morning, makes you sound like a bit of a fan boy. I'll stick by my statement for now that the latest FIFA is the best console football game I've played for years, but I won't go as far as to proclaim it to be better than this year's PES until I've actually played that too.

I've played and owned both and in my opinion even though PES hasn't made a huge leap forward, it is still the better game out of the two. FIFA has closed the gap and maybe in a few years might even be better than PES, but at the moment I believe that PES is the better game.

FIFA all the way,Used to be a PES fan but got let down by it
Good price

Not at all, it's called being at work......

I have played both and had when I made the first comment, and PES is comfortably better this year.

Also notice how I said I owned both games last year and though FIFA had closed the gap, i'm not in the slightest a fanboy, I just want to play the best footballing game out thee and currently that is PES by quite a long distance as they have this year seen that gap closed and re-increased it and by quite a margin.

I also have a full time job and I don't appreciate what it sounds you are trying to imply about me there.

So you had played both when you made your first post even though PES had yet to be delivered, unless the demo offered enough for you to make that judgement?

I didn't call you a fanboy. I said you sounded like one. Look at it from my perspective, you posted saying that PES was "far superior" whilst at the same time saying you were waiting for your copy to arrive, suggesting that you were claiming it better without even having played it. If indeed you have actually played both at length, then you are of course entitled to make such statements.

Anyway, some people will obviously prefer FIFA, some people will even get both, and regardless of which is better this is still a good deal which is why I voted it hot.

My mate ordered it off Game which was delivered the day before which is how I had played it before.

The job means it's hard to get on during the day, as you would know?!

I voted it hot too, but it's still not a patch on the latest Pro Evo, I think the reviews have said that too? The one posted in here certainly did.

I've actually played the latest FIFA alot more than the latest Pro Evo due to the release dates but all it took was a couple of hours of Pro Evo to realise that the gameplay is far superior.

I'm not sure on the graphics though, I think FIFA has better graphics if you want details on the player, but the gameplay and camera angles seem alot better on PES.

Fair enough.

Yup. I'm just having a week off which, typically, has left me actually doing more work, decorating etc, then if I was actually at work!

I've only seen two reviews so far and only the one made a proper comparison with FIFA, although I haven't gone out of my way to look at any others yet.

My favourite thing about the latest FIFA is the Be A Pro mode. I know it's not the first game to do it, but it works pretty well all the same. It's just a shame that what they did with it was so limited. It would have been nice to take a single player through leagues and tournaments too. Nice idea but ultimately a bit of a wasted opportunity.

I'll take gameplay over graphics, glamour and glitz too and look forward to giving PES 2008 a whirl for myself sometime soon. Of course, they might both pale into insignificance when Sensible Soccer finally appears on Xbox Live Arcade. :)

I wouldn't count on it - we'll probably be on PE/FIFA 2012 by the time they finally allow us to play Sensible Soccer on our 360s!

Thankfully I still get plenty of play from my Plug 'n' Play Sensible Soccer while I'm waiting!!
