Not sure where you're getting £80 off the normal price, it's never been higher than £99.99 at Amazon and has been £89 all through December.

£80 OFF?

hadn't realised that you could get 128 gb sd cards for thirty quid. so a useful bit of kit for around £120 sounds not bad at all

Anyone been using one . And have you been happy with it

I've been looking at getting the one that takes 2x128gb cards.
a lot of reviewers say it benefits it to buy an amp to go with it.

Yes and yes :)

I have bought a *lot* of MP3 players over the years and this is the best player I have found for the daily commute into the city.

(I got mine for £80 from Advanced MP3 Players with one of their 10% off everything deals)

If you are thinking of buying the dual memory card one (fiio x5) it will be 3 or 4 times more powerful then this if you need a amp or not will depend on what impedance headphones you will be using .
