Or you could keep it simple and serve it with twice fried chips.

Whatever you do, don't put a sauce on the steak.

Oh okay, but can't yours stay under the grill a little longer?

A pepper based sauce won't cause too much damage though!

In my experience I've found the best way to cook steak is frying it with Rice Bran Oil on each side for about 2 minutes on each side. De-licious!!! The oil has a high smoke point which is perfect for cooking meats, also very healthy =D I love steak...
#23
dammit, hungry now!!
#24
the best way to cook a fillet steak is a bit of black pepper on it and a knob of butter and grill it for a few minutes each side, job done.

Totally agree. Grilled fillet just doesn't taste as good as frying it, esp with oil with a high smoke point. I usually have the pan as hot as it is possible to get it and do 45 seconds to a minute and a half on each side. Perfect.

Had a leaflet through the door the other day and saw this, but thought it would be cheap old steak. As a few people have tried it with good reviews, i think i'll get some, there is a costcutter up the road from me. Looks like sunday dinner could be sorted out for today

Thanks , have called most of them but the staff have been not been overly helpful
It seems they are all attached to petrol stations , no stores as I can tell

There should be no need to tenderise a fillet steak, it's the most tender of cuts.

Thanks Moob.
