Filter out all those Marketplace items on Amazon!

I've always been bugged by them. I then noticed an option on the left 'Can be shipped within one business day from Amazon.co.uk' that filters out all the stuff sold by amazon.co.uk.
For all those that already know, fine. For those who don't, now you know :)

Do a search for your item and it should be there under 'Shipping option'
#4
:thumbsup:thanks for the heads up

Great idea as I hate sifting through all the marketplace items with expensive p&p however, I can't see that filter !
Any chance of you posting a screendump showing where it is ?
#6
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I never browse Amazon for this very reason - I look at the deals posted here or those on find-dvd or search for specific items, but never browse, even during the sale.

On LH side of my screen from top to bottom I have a log cabin with snow on the roof, Category, Brand, Price, Listmania Box, BT Ad, long white gap (nothing), Wheres My Stuff, Order History, Page You Made.

Using Firefox, could this be why? Really want to be able to find this option as Amazon is a real pain to search usually.

Ctrl + F is handy for finding things... Hold them down at the same time then type "shipping" in the box & it'll take you to it :)

well done OP, brill tip.

Thanks for mentioning this. The only slight drawback I could see is that wont it also filter out items that are available from Amazon but don't fall into the "in stock" category? Like items that will be despatched in "usually dispatched in 2-3 days", - 1 week, 2-4 weeks etc? I know that quite often in the past I've had items that have been like this, especially non chart CDs etc.
Amazon may have changed their stocking systems and this may no longer be the case but it's just a thought. Obviously if you need the item in a hurry it's not relevant anyway.
It can be handy though. For example I bought a local interest book in the autumn on a 4-6 week wait from Amazon at £13. It was full price of £20 in all the local shops.

I am blind too.

I can't tell you how pleased I am to be able to ignore the marketplace sellers.
I've bought loads of rubbish from the marketplace sellers including a fake pair of Sennheiser earphones and spent loads of time looking at what appear to be cheap items from the marketplace until it comes to finding out what the postage is.

No joy for me either when trying it with Safari. Shame, as this would be a very useful thing to be able to do (though I can understand why Amazon wouldn't want you to do it).

nope xp, can't understand why I don't get the same option as everyone else :?
#31
Thanks OP, like others this has been bothering me for ages!
#32
Right i was one of the blind ones who could not see it either, but it only appears for certain item you click to buy, the last time I choose P3 accessories and up came the option down the side, so if you cant see it, it's because you probably have not choose an item a market seller is retailing, hope that helps.

I am. I can't find it either. (Using safari)

You can use it after drilling down the other filters too (ie. drives, WD, £50-£100)
You stil get the option to filter out stuff with next day shipping. I'm sure that it isn't meant to be use this way, but it just happens to serve this purpose LOL

works fine for me in Firefox. Just do a search (e.g Wii), then select a CATEGORY (e.g Video games). Then the Shipping Option appears. Thanks for the tip. I hate marketplace too.
#36
ahh, seems you have to choose a category for it to work, ie search mp3 player then choose electrical and it works.

You have to choose a category to search in , for this option to appear.

If you try to search just 'Amazon.co.uk' it won't work. And the option will not be there.

You have to search for example, category electronics, then search

Doesn't work!....I just tried experimenting, putting in a search for a Kingston 1gb SD card using the filter "shipped in one business day by Amazon.co.uk" as follows http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_nr_p_availability_class_0?ie=UTF8&rs=560798&keywords=kingston%201gb%20sd&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Akingston%201gb%20sd%2Ci%3Aelectronics%2Cn%3A560798%2Cp%5Favailability%5Fclass%3A5-30
The last two listed are from Amazon Marketplace!
