I've just read that game suffers on both consoles. PS4 drops frames (even PS4 PRO). Xbox runs on 900p max.
Just great :{
Played over 50 hours so far on ps4 standard and performance has been smooth the entire time. If you check comparisons you'll see that the lower resolution makes the xb1 release noticably blurry unfortunately.

Only two bugs encountered so far which is better than any other open world game I've played.

The time I got stuck in a wall and my bros thought it was hilarious and decided to snap a photo while I was reaching for help.

After playing this for 900 hours, I can certainly tell you I'm not telling the truth.

Which console will be better? Any issues with performance on either of them?

Sell that DLC they give if you can. The blade is good for the first hour of game play and then useless after that. Amazon also gave pre order customers two other items before, not sure if they do that still. Another weapon and some camera or something.

I got xbox one s and standard ps4. Can't comment on ps4 performance. Only had one any issue on the xbox so far, when I put the console to sleep and woke it up, the speech in the game went slow motion! I just killed the game and restarted it and hasn't happened since.

That also happens with Rocket League, weirdest and creepiest thing ever when you come back to it...

I've put 40 hours Into the ps4 version and performance is just fine. Odd bit of slowdown but it hasn't bothered me at all. Runs far smoother than last years demo thankfully.

If you're after the digital version this is scheduled to be the last of the "12 deals of christmas" sale thing for PS4. I would guess it would be around £29.99

Well have some heat for price.
I will advise people to stay clear of this game for the next 6 maybe 8 months.

The reason is as it's unfinished and still got a few bugs. The developers plan to add stuff in later in 2017 so when it's finished then get it and it probably be cheaper too.

Of course that it will get cheaper. It will drop down in price anyway like every game. Bugs will be fixed with new patches.

Do you have PS4 or PRO version?

A week after release kinda makes a joke of the whole "Day One" gimmick. Can you even buy regular vanilla copies without the Day One banner?!

Had quite a few major issues with the Xbox version ladies and gents falling through the floor, getting stuck in a gravity attack, unkillable enemies etc unless your desperate I would wait until they release a patch or 2. It's a awesome game but once you get to chapter 8 or 9 it gets really short like square ran out of ideas

Er no not really, I'm about 50 hours in on standard ps4 the fps is fine pretty stable throughout only place I felt it dropped a tiny bit is when you get to this one city place area a demanding spot but that'd about it the rest of the game is stable. Also go check on DF again it's pretty stable just has some random frame pacing issue at times but knowing Digital Foundry they like to exaggerate this stuff who knows maybe for more clickbait but yeah they did say ps4 pro lightweight mode is the best to play this on but overall it's good

Hmmm interesting you say about the dlc as I got it on ps4 and it had the dlc for the sword which was worth couple of £ BUT I had one with a chocobo type spray job for the car and a camera thing which sells for a fair bit over £20 and when I listed it for £15 it sold straightaway have you had this or anyone else? theres also another dlc my mates got with his called king something instead of the spray job also worth a bit.

Fun game

I encountered a few issues during 75 hours of play on PS4, including a weird one where I was stuck behind an invisible rock getting hammered by daemons. I just reloaded the save and it was fine. I can't imagine we will ever see any open world games without little glitches like that. The other day I was trying to escape the 5O in GTA V and everywhere I drove the ground turned white. I've never seen that before up until then. And who hasn't seen things floating in Skyrim by now? X)

Fun game. Buy it. Laugh at any glitches as none of them make it unplayable.

After ~80h of gameplay I can say it's worth the price. Main Quest is awesome. There are alot of Side Quest and Hunts to do. We can compare Battle system to Kingdom Hearts. There is a lot of action. Magic system is fun too. And grinding skill tree is important. Can reccomend this game.

I had it originally on the Xbox One, completed and ended up getting the deluxe edition for the PS4 because I absolutely loved the game. Having played both now the PS4 runs fine and looks loads better. The Xbox one version was ugly unfortunately ( I love my Xbox one and usually always play multi-plats on there)

Only ever played Final Fantasy 7 is this game similar

It's always something so insubstantial too that it may as well say on the front 'free lollypop'. And then you have a reminder on the box forever. I'd much rather have the normal release.

I just really cant get used to the combat. I have completed nearly all the FF games and the draw to them for me was the combat. But then again i actually enjoyed 13-1/2/3 so not sure my opinion means much.

For some reason i dont get the 2 pounds discount although I have student Prime...

It showing £32,99 for prime

I think the 2 pounds off was only for 2 weeks even for student prime. amazon gives 2 pounds off on a new release for students with prime and FF15 is now out for 2 weeks so that offer is over.

The frame pacing was so annoying I went out and bought a pro. You literally can't go 15 seconds without some choppiness. More power to you if you're not sensitive to this but digital foundry definitely did not exaggerate this issue. The high mode on pro is even worse and almost unplayable to me.

Not really. I think of this as a JRPG version of the Witcher.

Wait, when did FF stop being a turn based game? Just YT some gameplay and this looks sick. Is it online co-op too?

Smooth on Pro if you enable Lite mode. It will be patched later to include 60fps mode.

Really? I was playing it on the pro yesterday and didn't notice that at all. Works perfectly fine for me and i usually notice any choppiness. :/
