  Looking at that receipt someone put the wrong sticker on them, otherwise they would have scanned. DSG managers do have authority to discount .97p items but I wouldn't have thought they would be knocking £20 off.

  Not even store specific; this is just a plain error, and the OP got lucky to boot. See the bit that says 'Manager Discretion' next to the discount? That be a wrongly priced item that has been manually discounted. Not a deal at all, and rightly expired.

  TBH I'm surprised the manager discounted it in the first place rather than withdraw from sale for 24 hours then place back on sale at the correct price.
