The moment that fal'Cie from Pulse - the feared and detested lowerworld - awoke from its slumber, peace on Cocoon came to an end. Fal'Cie curse humans, turning them into magic-wielding servants. They become l'Cie - chosen of the fal'Cie. Those branded with the mark of a l'Cie carry the burden of either fulfilling their Focus or facing a fate harsher than death itself. A prayer for redemption.
A wish to protect the world. A promise to challenge destiny. After thirteen days of fates intertwined, the battle begins...

Can't be the worst FF ever - it's meant to be a huge improvement over XIII!

you get a gamerpicture for 360 or a theme for the ps3 and a crystal in key items for both

Retail prices were £59.99 for the Collector’s Edition and £79.99 for the Crystal Edition. Obviously the pre-order stuff has no retail value, but it's readily available on eBay for £10-20, or less if you get a lucky bid in.
So £22 is an excellent price for the Collector's Edition. I just wish it was the same price on the PS3 - I've been trying to get it from eBay for a couple of weeks now and it regularly sells for over £30. The price of the Crystal Edition is ridiculous - people are paying £100-150 for it.
If anyone is looking for the XIII-2 Collector's Edition guide, the cheapest I can find that is £12.99 from Gamestation -
