Unleash Devastation with Enhanced Summoning: Introducing Gestalt Mode: an exhilarating take on Final Fantasy's trademark summon system that elevates the action to a whole new level. In Gestalt Mode, the player uses simple button commands to unleash the combined might of the characters and their transformed Eidolons, inflicting massive damage to any who stand in their way.
Lose Yourself in the Drama: An immersive storyline draws the player ever closer to a cast of intriguing characters. Will they have the strength to face their fate, or are they doomed to destroy everything they love?

This game went down in price pretty fast, I'm starting to doubt if it's really THAT good

TBH its as bad as 12 really, ok but nothing special. VI, VII and X are by far the best games in the series

It's a great game. I'm sitting on about 55 hours in it at the moment.

It's a far cry from FF7, but it looks stunning and is a joy to play. There is a fair bit of grinding required if you want to max out to beat everything (as with any FF/rpg) but otherwise is solid.

Personally I think the story is fine too - not groundbreaking but enjoyable.

Easily a 7 or 8/10 from me.

FFVII = best. Ever.

Great game, it might not be the best FF ever, but its worth 8/10.

It gave me many hours of enjoyment anyway!

Dropped enough for me to give it a go, £10 - £15 is budget range.

Its not my cup of tea really and from what I have seen the Jap RPG have fallen so far behind now when you compare to games like Fallout and Mass Effect, both in terms of graphics but adult plot the way the game plays, no real free roaming etc.

But for old times sake I will give it a go at this price, maybe I will be pleasantly surprised.

To me it's not good enough for a Final fantasy game. I even liked FF XII (apart from the voice acting) but this? nooooo.

Take a look at the edge review http://www.edge-online.com/magazine/review-final-fantasy-xiii

It's a very polarizing game, there are those like it and plenty who hate it. Bottom line: make sure you try it before buying. If you are going to buy it, get it on the PS3 as it runs in a higher resolution. I have the 360 version and was left disappointed at the graphics.

In my opinion its not a 'real' Final Fantasy game. Its more like Square were making a generic semi-sci-fi game, realised they'd gone X amount of years without a FF, so changed a few names and dumped this on us.

Poor game, good price.

Personally, I don't like it that much, Lost Odyssey is far batter for a current gen JRPG, but in terms of hours for your money, plenty there, currently around 52 hours (paid about this for it) and story (long winded and rubbish) is starting to wind up.

Getting a pound cheaper every other day, this game

Thing is I want the gammer points, I know the ps3 version is better as its a jap studio. I have a ps3 but I`m still getting the 360 version due to the gammer points, doubt its something I will play for 50 hours anyway.

When you consider that Oblivion and Fallout 3 GOY editions with all the extra content have been available for the same sort of price, you could argue this title is poor value even in this price range.

On my second playthrough on Fallout 3 with all the addons I am around 200 hours in, still not done all the side missions or visted all locations. Thats what they are up against. Still ordered a copy and voted hot though as like I said it budget price, semi decent xbox ps3 games dont really go below £7 - £10 even used so its cost benefit how long you wait really.

If you want gamerscore with this game and don't think you can put in 50-100 hours, with plenty of level grinding, then I don't recommend you buy it.

50 hours in and I think I'm on about 300 GS :p Working towards the 1000G though.

*edit* I never got into Fallout... Got it with my 360 and have barely touched it, just didn't enjoy it at all... Disappointing really as I had hoped to love it!

I find that amazing tbh I got 1000 gammer points out of fallout. To do everything in the game and get all the acheivements I would say you are looking at around 500 hours play time. Including the first quick play I have certainly spent over 200 hours on it.

Annoying when they make it hard to get any gammer points still any are welcome I still wouldnt buy it for my ps3 I hardly use it I cant stand the controller, exclusives only on the ps3 for me.

strange, it took me 104 hours to get 1750G on Fallout GOTY edition xbox 360, don't know whats taking you guys so long to finish it :P
