Next summer the PS3 version of this title will be taken offline. So Square Enix have announced an upgrade program.

If you have Final Fantasy XIV or plan on buying it. Between now and December 31st 2017. You can upgrade from the PS3 version to the PS4 version for free.

They did the same upgrade deal when the PS4 version was released. This is a. MMO which requires a paid subscription.

If you have a PS3 and PS4 and don't have this. It's worth the 2 quid it's a decent mmo. Plus you get 1 month free when you register your copy. So you will get at very least a month's play out of this.

Shame they only gave the ps3 version the 3 years or so. Cracking mmo and worth a pop for rookies with the one month free trial. So much of the game can be played solo as well.

PS3 version needed to be ditched so they can move ahead with more ambitious content and better QoL features. PS3 struggled as it is with the current XIV, and given the details of Stormblood there's no chance the PS3 would be able to render such landscapes at a decent lick. There's a reason why the biggest cheer at the fanfest was for the announcement of the PS3 version finally being ditched.

Thanks, I have the PC version but its hard to play on my TV due to unreadable text.

Hi, Can this be played without a subscription?

No, it needs a subscription. Amazing game. I came from playing ffxi and despite this being much more casual it's still got a very good story and the ease of access allows people with less time to get involved.

GET IN :D I bought this again recently, haven't used my PS3 copy yet (I play on PC). This is excellent now I will be able to use a free month and get access to it on my PS4 woo. I won't play it on my PS4 much but ya know, always good to have and I might do gathering / casual stuff on it.

You can change the font size. Was in the same boat as you until I mucked around with the settings.

Purchased and added to my square enix account. Now can't log into game or upgrade site. Be aware of log in issues with square enix accounts
