When you say "Digital download code" - is that for the actual game? So no disc?

Yep especially with the 'meh it's ok' reviews. Gonna be sub £25 in a month.

Good spot if you're chomping at the bit to play it now though. :)

The reviews are better than that, I've played 3hrs today and I wanted to only play for 30mins, I couldn't put it down... I really enjoy the combat and hunts!

Very addictive so far and lovely presentation. FFXIV was not a fluke. It is reviewing well, with some harsh outlets giving it 9's. The steel book is mainly just that. The codes will probably be released seperately later.

Just picked up my copy from Argos thanks OP. Somehow of all games to go missing in the post this one has even though Royal Mail say it's been delivered ×_× O well goodbye life for a few weeks :-D

Don't understand the negative reviews. The game is an absolute blast.

I think my Tesco purchase worked out around £30 after various codes, vouchers, points and price promises. Just got to wrestle it out of my daughter's hands and I'll be laughing :D

Got my Xbox one copy for £34 after the NOWFIVE code with prime now
#22
I'll wait three days, should be £15 by then :P

I supposed to be because of the last third of the game. It gets 'different' apparently.

Yeah I've decided to just buy the Xbox one version again and sell my regular copy.. the PS4 version of FFXV doesn't run as smooth as xb1

I've enjoyed this game so much so far. Already spent 11 hours since Monday, including hours just messing about on Chocobo's, fishing, playing Justice Monsters 5, and finding things to kill ;) The combat is fun and the game looks beautiful. Buy it...

No it runs at a better frame rate with no tearing on PS4(as well as better graphics) than Xbox one. Frame pacing is an issue though but count on people online to blow it out of proportion lol.

av played it on both as didn't know what to get it for and i went with ps4 as the xb1 frame rate was alot lower and choppy compared to ps4

Now that we've seen how Final Fantasy 15 performs on PS4 Pro and the standard PS4, it's time to move to the other side of isle.

In the video I linked above, Digital Foundry checks the frame-rate on the Xbox One version to see if it manages to offer a locked 30fps frame-rate, and whether it suffers from frame-pacing issues seen on Sony's consoles.

Right off the bat, the game does have a lower image quality overall on Xbox One, as the resolution goes only up to 900p, compared to 1080p on PS4. This means it can go even lower, thanks to its adaptive resolution technique.

However, frame-pacing is as it should be on Xbox One, a definite improvement over PS4 and PS4 Pro in this aspect, which results in a smoother-looking game. That said, drops below 30fps do happen, but they're very short and generally don't go below 27fps.

In short: you'll either have to put up with reduced image quality on Xbox One, or frame-pacing problems on PS4 and PS4 Pro.

If your going by the demos then both versions are supposed to run much better, I went with Xbox as its a smoother experience.

Agreed, also this isn't an opinion anymore, it's a fact. It's been comprehensively tested and confirmed.
