I went to my Pharmacist and said that my hair was falling out, did he have something available to keep it in?
He handed me a box.

Finasteride does actually work. I can't vouch for this brand, I use Propecia which I pay £60 a month for.

Shave in off and grow some sort of beard mate, you'll look awesome. At least that's my plan for when it gets more noticeable on me!

Might give this look a go now actually, as a pre-meditated strike, so to say. It works for Bruce ;)

If it's gonna fall out it's gonna fall out. Don't waste your money

Obviously none of this rubbish works. Nothing stops your hair falling out or ageing in general. Save your money.

It does work along with minoxidil, though associated with bad side effect (libido etc) Id personally avoid
#13
Tried everything from minoxidil, nourkin, laser comb. All tend to keep what you have got vut after a while when you stop using them all drops out.
Want a permanent solution hair transplant for life, you will need a good donor area. Usually fro the sides and back. But your hair is full for life.
#14
shave it off or grow it long and go for a Donald trump comb over :p come on seriously do you not think all these balding celebs/millionaires wouldn't all have a full head of hair??

Or broadband contract, gas, electric, water, gym membership, nespresso subscription... oh wait, it doesn't sound like any of them :p

It certainly works.

Unfortunately it is like playing Russian roulette with your sexual function, a small but significant number of users, for UNKNOWN reasons get "Post Finasteride Syndrome" which is effectively unfixable, as well as a host of other more conventional side effects.

Google it. It even has it's own organisation, the Post-Finasteride Syndrome Foundation

I wish my hair would fall out it's just a blinking nuisance.

2 weeks in Chernobyl. Self catering. That should do it.

Aside from all the rubbish jokes this stuff is used by quite a few people in the public eye.

The fact is though, this is not a good deal at all. You can get 6 months for £75.

Throwaway comment by someone who knows nothing about the drug

Finasteride IS a drug ( POM most probably) which inhibits the coversion by 5-alpha reductase of Testosterone to its DiHydro metabolite (DHT).

DHT is considered much more androgenic is specific target tissues (prostate, scalp among others) than its parent hormone. By 'more androgenic' I mean much stronger affinity to activate the Androgen Receptor (AR) in those tissues.

So Yes, it works & it works well (the in-vivo action of blocking DHT) - just look at the umpteen published independant clinical studies for proof of that.

Whether it working means you regrow lost hair is another matter. It may in some men. At the very least, it will probably slow the rate of loss due to MPB (Male Pattern Baldness). Remember though - Testosterone itself is a relatively strong androgen in its own right, irrespective of any conversion to DHT!

It's not side effect free, as with any drug. Some users may find DHT reduction affects their mood, sexual desire, general sense of wellbeing etc etc

Regarding the deal - it's a terrible price. Indian generics are a fraction of the price (Fincar et al)
