Tiger also sell these for £5 each
They sell these plastic framed types in home bargains cheaper.

To be honest, I prefer the ikea version which has an aluminum frame. 5 quid each. Link here:

I can't see why this would be a stocking filler for my 6 and 7 year old boys as they really don't understand Apple Fanboism yet. Unless of course Apple buyers still believe in Father Christmas and he comes down the chimney on Christmas Eve and leaves lovely presents like an apple with a bite out of it and marvelous updates to keep their over hyped product working. Most adults have grown out of wishing for fabulous presents at Christmas to be deposited in their stocking at the end of the bed or over the fireplace, that is except the devoted assembly of Apple owners who think they have the best of the best. But I think these products have been especially produced for the non savvy wanna-be group who want tech and IT but are not really all that bothered how it works and just want to play candy-crush on their phone :{

Everything about that comment above annoys me.

1. Your children are not the only children in the world. If you don't think they'd like it then move along.

2. Stockings do not cease to be a thing after 7 years of age. I am 27 and make a stocking for my family members of 25 years and up because it's fun to put all those little bargains in.

3. Being an "apple fanboy" has nothing to do with buying a case.

4. It's a great offer, whether it's for you or not there's no denying 99p is a great discount from the RRP.

Rant over

Op: nice offer I hope it helps someone with a last minute present or stocking filler :)

Rant away! I totally agree with you :)

Reduced from £17.00 each!? 17 quid for a few bits of plastic when one mould will create the frame sides and a 12x12 perspex sheet is only a few tens of pence. At £3.00 they are still we'll over-priced.
Bought these from there a couple of years back. The frames are a little flimsy, not the best quality, but look great ones on the wall imo. You might want some match sticks to raise some of your 12 inch slightly if you're fussy like me as sometimes they sit a little low..

Also, have a look on eBay for laser discs, 12 inch film covers look great on your wall!!
Been looking at these for a while to brighten up my office. Absolute bargain! Thanks

Question I was once asked at an interview. If you take apart a Rubik's cube, and throw all the individual cubes in the air, what are the chances of them all landing with a label facing upwards?
rprp
Question I was once asked at an interview. If you take apart a Rubik's cube, and throw all the individual cubes in the air, what are the chances of them all landing with a label facing upwards?

The probability is 0 as the central cube doesn't have any stickers?
I assume this is the answer they wanted, but is in fact wrong as there is no central cube, just a weird star looking thing with springs in. The actually correct answer is zero because the pieces only flat sides are the stickered ones (except some thin edges), meaning they could only ever land pointing about 45 degrees anyway.

And anyone thinking this is easier is far from right - it is marginally easier as no edge pieces (middle bits don't move so don't count) but this is barely noticable and still very difficult, and I find it frustrating to solve after working on a 3x3, and allows far fewer patterned solutions to be formed.

Also, £5 is not a good deal, loads cheaper on Amazon all the time (sometimes you have to wait for postage from China but anyway) e.g.
Linky

when you take it apart, there are no cubes.....
Ron Burgundy has one of these on his desk! Heat added just for that :)

Has anyone tried the 2X2 as I am presuming that it is easy to master
Thanks
Harder than it looks. The algorithm to solve it can take 20-30 moves. But there are shortcuts. The world record is less than a second to solve it.

I didn't believe you so I went on YouTube and GODDAAMMMNN that was quick :P

If you don't mind spending a few more pounds, you really ought to get the Dayan Zhanchi. It's considered by many to be the best version of the "magic cube".
Heat
You can get much higher quality speed cubes for £2 delivered from amazon marketplace. Yes they will come from China and take ages to arrive but find a Shengshou recent revision 'Wind' for this price and you'll have an amazing cube for the money.
Have some heat
i'd give this a miss, by the looks of the RRP the quality is likely to be poor and cube will be hard to turn. from what i remember there were some half decent cheapish cubes in The Works

This is the normal price. plus you're paying extortionate rate of postage for what should be the cost of a stamp for delivery. Piece of card, printer ink and short piece of elastic you can do the exact same for about 30p.
Might buy both for mŷ dogs Christmas with a cole of primart yellow t shirts ...
that does seem a bit ott for a cardboard mask with a bit of elastic. make your own!
