This one crops up from time to time but I keep missing it. They are now back in stock on the Fuji website so get in quick.

Slightly dearer than the last time, but only by £3. Use code P258BTCC467 to get this price.

Full specs on the website but seems like a good deal for a decent camera (for the price anyway).

Looks good, heat added!

yarp - had a quick look around, some great reviews and a good alternative to my slightly larger finepix bridge so the missus can have this one as a summer gift.

Yep - ordered (something else this site has cost me!) heat added.

Looks good, is 12 months normal warranty?
#5
Plus would anyone recommend good rechargeable batteries and charger for this type of camera?

I've always used these: http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_3&products_id=108409

And to charge them: http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_3&products_id=105029 This charger can either use supplied power supply, USB or 12V car supply, so a good super fast all-rounder.

Thanks Stefor, will get those if I go for the camera.

Just a bit unsure about buying refurb over new, if the warranty is 12months with both I will go refurb if its cheaper.

I bought a refurb off the site a few years ago. What you'll receive is what looks like a brand new camera, they are that good at the refurbishment. Within the year as well you can extend the warranty for a further period of time, which works out a lot cheaper than extending if you bought the camera from Currys or Comet. I think I paid about £35ish for a 3 year warranty.
#9
Thanks

Say I went and bought the camera new at Currys, would it just be a 12months warranty?
#10
Yep! They then have to send it back to the same place as you'd be buying this from. You may as well cut Currys out of the equation and buy direct. Fuji probably wouldn't repair your faulty camera, just send you another "New Looking" Refurb.

Thanks for your help

Good camera. have one but only problem I found is due to size reluctant to take it out some places. TZ series is better if that may be an issue. otherwise awesome results. heat added

@rkrk: Remember, if you've got house insurance/contents insurance you most likely won't need to fork out for the extra warranty. But that all depends on your excess and type of cover. It's worth double-checking though before paying out extra for double the cover.
#15
Remember, video capture is 720p not full HD as stated on Fuji's site.

They seem to have lots of refurb cameras going for good prices and I know nothing about cameras so anyone care to mention why this one is the one to go for to help me make a decision?

Thanks

The S1800 is almost identical, the only difference is that the 2550HD has a mini HDMI slot. the S1800 is on the site for abotu a fiver more, and is also still in stock (along with loads of others) -

I"m never touching a refurb camera again . Bought Fujifinepix S1600 refurb from ebay power seller and had issues with being out of focus if you didnt use the zoom and also in bright sunlight ocassionally it would get the lighting wrong and photo came out black !

OK- it was ebay power seller not fuji shop but refurbs generally mean faulty cameras that have been fixed , sometimes they dont fix them though . My dad also bought a refurb camera and as soon as he tried to use it kept shutting down .

Best pay a bit more and know they"re new with no issues

Received mine today however fuji have sent me a S2750HD model. Any idea what the differences if any are?
