Or you could get some clothes washing powder and use that instead  £1.41 for 3kg at Tesco

Could get around 500 washes out of 3kg

7p a wash with these or 0.3p a wash with washing powder

Just a thought .. :-D

er, is Finish Powerball for dishwashers or clothes?

I've been using these for a few weeks now and although they're good, they self disolve, so you don't need to unwrap them, which is fine but they often leave a lot of their residue behind in the dispenser department.

I thought they would do that too...
but suprisingly they dont in mine...

It does say "dont use a quick wash"...what setting do you use?

I got some 100% free 2 weeks ago in tesco...but this is a great deal...

Kim

I never use a quick wash, just normal or longer.

The thing is that when the machine is being loaded the dispenser compartment is always open so usually gets unavoidably wet inside it. If I then put one of these in it without wiping it down first and then depending on how quickly I activate the programme the tablet can start dissolving inside the compartment and then not drop out properly.

It's not that big a deal. It just means I have to make sure the compartment is dry before I put one in.

picked up four packs heat added.

This promotion was on about two months ago at Makro so we got a great deal and the VAT back aswell :)

TIP: If the tablet won't fit in the dispenser draw or it's a bit of a squeeze then just place it in a spare slot in the cutlery basket instead, it works just the same! - Source: Finish Customer Services

Dishwasher tablets, toilet roll, Coca Cola ........ I'm always looking for a deal. They are sooooo expensive and so un-glamourous to buy.:x

A tip from MSE is to chop D/W tabs in half. Half a tablet doesn't seem to affect their cleaning power, and doubles your investment!

Yes I know I'm very sad:giggle:

Not sad..... Tesco cocked up. I've got three kids and work 12 hour shifts to support them. Dishwasher goes on every night, emptied every morning. People who make assumptions are soooooo often wrong eh ?!

Be cheaper to buy 3kg of Tesco clothes washing powder for £1.41  Useful tip!

No the assumption was you were greedy. Your not the only person who allegedly works hard. I don't think I was wrong so it's your assumption that is.

On the website it doesn't show the 100% extra free box, but they are when they're delivered, 48 tablets for the rice of 12!!! Thanks:thumbsup:

Oh right. You must be the only person in your locality who works hard then eh?

Maybe somebody with 4 kids who works 13hr shifts went later and there were none left due to some greedy person who thinks the world owes tham a living.

22 packs - Pathetic. Really.

I don't think it is a case of tesco cocked up.It is a genuine BOGOF offer and it just so happens that the boxes they have at the moment are promo packs with 100% free.
I only got a couple of boxes, but i have no qualms about anybody stocking up on genuine offers like this,it is when misprices arise that i don't agree with people bulkbuying and so alerting the store that they have cocked up and it gets pulled so others can't get a shot at it.This is not one of those deals, this is a genuine offer.:)
Great post Yummyscrubby.

its not pathetic stocking up...the person doesnt think they world owes them a living they just want 22 boxes ?!! go to your tesco and get 22 yourself if youre that bothered, theyre still probably making profit on them.

They have had a similar offer on before (half price with the 12 free) so dont think its a misprice, lasted a few weeks last time

I have some ordered for tomorrow so fingers crossed there will be some left!
#34
Right....what's this about using normal washing up powder in the dishwasher?

That can't be right...surely?

And taking 22 packs is grasping and selfish....putting it up on here like a badge of honour and expecting not to be called on it is naieve.

Surely nobody would be stupid enough to use ordinary washing powder in a dishwasher, would they ? Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection might just have a serious flaw in it after all. :whistling:

Using washing powder was a tip I picked up from MSE here, and white vinegar for rinse aid :)
#38
Well I actually preferred the other tip to put your dishes out on the lawn overnight and the slugs will get them clean! :giggle:
#39
Thanks to OP. Grabbed a couple of boxes from the Prescot Extra store yesterday evening. Still a few on the shelf when I left.
