Yeah i have had a few and have been impressed with the picture. think a lot of budget TVs need a soundbar now though.

4K LG 49" for £399/388 quidco @ ao.com. in one of the posts early today sounds better for extra £50 if counting quidco.

the only people who can comment on finlux are the people who hav had 1 and had issues with it. i did not do my homework before purchasing, if i had of i would hav avoided.. search posts u will find. there is a site that details all the negatives of cus services and tvs.

Yet again the 50"-ish 2016 Vestel is posted, yet again it's more expensive than its normal price of £300. Use the search facility to find this already posted tens of times under the Panasonic, Toshiba, Digihome, Celcus, Polaroid, etc. etc. etc. brands.

I can't believe there can be anyone left on HUKD that hasn't seen this TV posted already at £270-£300???!

i own a finlux 3d tv that has been going strong for 2 years no issues whatsoever so i do have right to comment. Finlux tvs generally get very good reviews for price / quality ratio. For the budget end these are good value. Picture quality is very good and sound is like all other lcd tvs where external sound connection is much better

Seems like a good buy, I'm surprised how cheap tvs are becoming.

had my finlux 3d tv a couple of years and it's been great, pic is brilliant for the price.

Didn't Finlux stop designing their own sets a couple of years back, now they are all Vestel rebadges? They built up a great brand reputation by offering high spec sets at low prices, the cashed out by going down this route.

Please, someone do correct me if I'm wrong!

What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

Had my finlux 3d telly for 2/3 years now and it's an excellent telly, i get no noticable lag when gaming compared to my mate's panasonic which is unusable.

Telly itself looks dated now but it won't die, picture has always been excellent, although I agree with comments about the poor sound. If you already have a soundbar though this isn't an issue.

I'd be interested to know if this is true, was planning on buying another when mine dies but not if they're not as good these days

Are you mentally ill, loads of reviews on that site are for reviewers who have only left one review. If anything seems to be the majority. Come to think of it I think I've only left one review on trustpilot ever.

Look how awful Miele is for customer service at least.

That's highly negative and loads are 1 review only by the writers.

Because negative reviews can't be bought in bulk to bash the competition.

All those Greeks, Poles, Germans and Random Name Geenrators writing reviews in perfect Queen's English, giving a supermarket brand TV 5-star score.

All Finlux televisions have been Vestel since 2006 and Vestel uses Finlux as its premium brand for export however Vestel's best tv's are only sold in select markets mainly Turkey and Russia I think under the Vestel brand.

You can see the full OEM tv catalogue here.

http://vestelinternational.com/en/media/

Information on Vestel's picture processing software 'Pixellence' is here;

http://www.vestek.com.tr

I have a Finlux tv and its superb and frankly the best tv I could get at the time. I wanted passive 3D, 4k and low input lag for gaming and the LG models had higher input lag that was unacceptable to me and most other brands were using the awful active 3D so my options were limited. Previous to the Finlux I had a Polaroid 3D tv for the same reasons which was smaller and when I sold it on the people who bought it were more than happy with it by their comments.

This is my model.

http://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/deb17bd

Mine uses a LG panel though because of the passive 3D but most Vestel's use their own panels or at least do final assembly of panels in Turkey.

It's the most advanced TV factory in Europe with the lowest DOA rate (they claim).

However Vestel manufacture a range of models from low specification to mid range spec for export. Finlux is their premium export brand so tends to get higher spec models than some lower brands or badge slaps. For example my Finlux has a fast quad core logic board but a Toshiba branded 4k set made by Vestel only had a dual core cpu logic board because that was all Toshiba were willing to pay for I guess. In fairness Toshiba have to create a margin for end retailers, wholesalers and themselves over the Vestel factory door price. That's why often Vestel sets are better obtained from large resellers who buy from Vestel and directly sell to customers depending on spec and price of course.

In performance terms they compete very well with the entry level televisions from the big brands.

Get real.

Finlux isn't a supermarket brand and can get some respectable reviews even on sites like whathifi who can get a bit obsessive about picture quality and sound.

http://www.whathifi.com/products/finlux/tvs

I don't know what this set is like but know I've got a different Finlux set myself which has been utterly superb and I spent much time comparing specs and looking at reviews before purchase. I looked at google translated sites abroad to see how Finlux and Vestel were rated and came away with a much more positive impression.
#27
quiet happy with my 2 year old Finlux and you talk about fake review how you know if the "up market" brands aren't doing the fake reviews too? its hard to get positive review because most people will only write negative stuff, the best reviews to look at on tech guys on YouTube and such, but even the most expensive brand can have flaws, like that Samsung phone that exploded in your pocket.

I got this last week when it was 229. picture is great ! sound is pants but who cares you can easy fix that.
