Im using it with sky, the picture for me is spot on, I bought it as a stop gap as mine blew without warning, I doubt I'll be changing after.

Only thing not too impressed with is no optical out for audio
#3
can this brand beat top leading brands features? cos deal looks attempting
#5
good buy but 50htz
#6
why would you want optical out? TVs usually only output in stereo, not 5.1... if you're going to an amp do you not have the Sky going through that? I've never used the sound on my TVs in 10+ years

This is the kind of thing all too often spouted out by people who only look at numbers and can't accept that something doesn't have to be bang up to date to be more than sufficient.

But then vendors love comments like yours as it makes it all too easy to remove money from the wallets of the gullible who will believe anything that they are spoon fed.

I thought it was a 3d TV when I first saw the picture of the tv with images jumping out of the screen. Looks like a good deal when compared to other budget 50 inch televisions around this price, the free Wifi dongle and smart features give this one the edge plus it's looks great so have some heat.

I bought a bottom of the range panasonic plasma. Always had bad reviews but in reality if the input signal is good (Sky HD etc) you would generally be happy, specially when not paying too dollar. We lived with 50hz for like 20 years and never complained. Unless you're into watching serious football it's very difficult to notice things like motion blur and poor refresh rate in general viewing or a movie. Just saying, init

I drive my car every day, does that have to be high end too? As I can't afford 100k for a Mercedes S-Class.

Finlux TV's are fine for the money. I had a good gander last time I was at the gadget show. Hard to knock for under £350 so hot from me!
#15
Oh come on, for £350 this is a bang on deal, 350!!!???, come on, for that cash its got everything but 3D for next to no money, PLUS an extended warranty giving you 4 years EXTRA for just £88 is a steal, your looing at a guaranteed TV for 5 years for £440 quid, no one on the hightseet can match that!

HEAT!

Yup. For budget sets, they're meant to be pretty decent. Not up there with top of the line Panny and Sony etc, but better than most of the budget stuff.

Heat at this price.

50Hz... Yucky!

But good for... slideshows??

I never purchase extended warranties, the Sale of goods act should protect your TV for this period.

Rather get THIS slightly smaller, but infinitely better.

32" version rated very highly by What Hi-Fi.
#22
Specs might not be up there with the top shelf models, but excellent price and decent reviews. Heat added

The other Finlux 50" looks to have better specs and is cheaper (it just hasn't got the Smart features and is styled differently). Teh contrast ratio for this one is only stated to be 1200:1 with a 15ms response time..the cheaper one is 5000:1 with around 8ms response.
#24
Im no tv boffin so I wont claim to be, but having this now for a week, I've put it through its testing, especially using the DLNA streaming from my laptop and its not missed a beat, really impressed. Im sure that the spec is inferior to others but for a balance of spec/looks/price etc Im happy.

Ordered this and it was delivered to Northern Ireland in three days. First impression is that this is a very good tv. The smart tv function is surprisingly good. The tv itself is very thin and looks great. Picture quality is very good. all in all this is a very impressive tv at a budget price.
#28
Mine got delivered on Friday, next day delivery as promised. Amazing TV for the money, Smart apps, Netflix etc work brilliantly.
#29
Still got NO refund - they NEVER even attempted to deliver the television - doing a chargeback on debit card - had to report to Police to get a crime ref number for a fraud claim.

They just disappear from their online chat when they see me log in.............

Just my opinion but they are RUBBISH !

I'm even happier with my purchase now, I contacted them regarding the fact the price had decreased within a few days of me paying £399..... they've refunded me £50.... absolute bargain!
#32
Thanks, OP. It turned up (a day late, but it turned up).

Picture-quality wise, is this or the Toshiba better? http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/toshiba-48-full-hd-tv-with-freeview-from-tesco-direct-354-with-code-1964867

Also, what's everyone using the SMART functionality for? Checking facebook and the weather? :|

Bought and love the TV - the picture is excellent! However, it didn't come with an external wireless adapter and instead seems to have one built in! However, it doesn't work. Has anybody successfully managed this, and if so how? Thanks!

Hi

This happened when I bought mine, I went onto the chat on the website, gave my order number and they sent me the dongle within a few days
#36
Quick update - I NEVER received my refund - despite promises - they just disappear from online chat when i query it. Had to get chargeback from my visa debit card - got money back yesterday. Seems if alls ok then no problems..............but if anything goes wrong they just can't/wont deal with it.
