I prefer heavier strings personally, but these are fun at £1.97 a pop, and I'm convinced there's little difference between budget string manufacturers.

They were located amongs TOYS, near to some guitars, which are seemingly considered as a child's plaything by Asda. Govan store, perhaps nationwide in larger stores.

Also had the First Act electric guitar strings of apparently exactly the same spec., but in a nice metal tin, instead of a card box, for £2.97... seemed strange to me.

Must remember to pop in there I don't play my guitars that much nowadays but some cheap replacements to hand is always useful.

Bit of a bargain, I'd say. You can't string all your guitars with Elixirs every few weeks now, can you?

I'd had just about enough of boiling my strings in soapy water between changes... tried it once on the advice of a friend, and lo, it works.... restores that crunchy metallic sound.

I just had the "A" of my acoustic set of these pop on me, after a whole 2 minutes of playing gently, but I think it's more to do with the bridge of my guitar... the "knot" of the strings at the metal fastener end always seems to hang over the bridge and into the part of the string that vibrates, if you follow...Very little room beween the string attachment and the bridge.

So the strings are fine for most, anyway.
